After the head office turmoil and the blow out last week it isn't surprising that this line is almost 2 td's. Now they go on the road in a division game. Do they show up for their self respect or roll-over for the season. It may be a little early in the season for the roll-over but they sure seemed like they were on fire last week they way they stopped, dropped, and rolled against the Bears. More research on this stincker.

+13.5   I'll take take Det.  I don't care how bad Det. is...with Minn. offense there is no way the should be laying close to 2 td.

They almost did that against a then 2-0 Carolina squad that went on to manhandle the Falcons who had previously murdalized the Lions.
But if your scarred of the spread just take the under because going by your logic the Vikes ain't going to be doing any real scoring and it wouldn't surprise me if Detroit lays an egg in this one.

Or you could be contrarian and take the Lions and see your bankroll disappear like everyone else who has bet on those bums this year.

13.5 is alot of points to lay for a team who's highest point total of the year is 30, and even that was with help from specials teams, not to mention a few gift-wrapped blown calls from the refs.  There's better games to play this week in my opinion.

Well one thing to remember is the Lions run D is absolutely horrible, especially on the road. Peterson has had 2 sub-par games in a row, you would think he's do for an explosion vs. a D like this. Plus the opportunistic Vikes D tends to get a lot of turnovers vs. the Lions. 13.5. sounds like a lot but the Vikings have covered that before against the Lions.

Vikes also know their margin for error is slim and these division games are very important.

I don't have alot of faith in either team, but knowing Minn is a running/Defensive team I would be very relunctant to bet them laying 2 tds against any team. Even if Detroit is in shambles both on and off the field.  Yeah, I know....AD (yeah, I meant AD not AP) may get 100+ yards and Gus Ferrote has been good, but you are putting our Faith in Brad Childress and Minn's play calling.  Or let's look at this way.  Let's imagine if it was Dallas -14 playing Detroit.  many out there would be quick to point out "Dallas won't ....blah blah blah"

Detroit may be awful, but I'm thinkin take the dog on this one.

+13.5   I'll take take Det.  I don't care how bad Det. is...with Minn. offense there is no way the should be laying close to 2 td.

    I AM LOVING THE FAVORITE..........

this is going to be like a high school team vs. a college team....

they are going to manhandle the Lions......

Their D-line is going to dominate....

and AP is going to have a bounce back game from the other night....

no way the Lions stop them....

I'll lay 2 tds At home.....

    This will be a slaughter

Peterson finally goes off, after an epic win on MNF.  The Lions are reeling right now, and would likely rather sit this one out (which I'm feeling they basically will anyway).

    Vikings  (-13)

This does seem like a big number for the Vikings to cover, but after last week I won't bet on the Lions again this season. Vikings definately win, but pass on this trash

I am a Lions fan and I have just about given up on them.  I truly believe they don't try to win games.  They don't fix their mistakes ( bad D or O stays a bad D or O), they don't make good decisions (i.e. the draft), and they don't seem to want to turn things around .....Firing Millen is a start.  How can people say they can't lay 13.5?  Detroit couldn't cover 13.5 against Temple.  I can't see how Detroit will even put a single point on the board.  What has Detroit done this year to make you think they can keep the score within 2 TD's?  Either 1)  you think Detroit will put up AT LEAST 2 TD's themselves, because you KNOW Minnesota will put up 25+  2)  Detroit's D will hold Minny  aaallll game 3)  You think Barry Sanders is playing in this game or 4)  you believe Detroit will have less then 3 turnovers this game.  If you checked no to all of these then take Minnesota.  The Lions are truly embarrassing.

Not to mention Kitna probably won't play in this game.  Where is O'Sullivan when you need him?

Kitna being out or playing hurt makes this game an absolute no brainer. Vikes -13. Kitna is a turnover factory and the backups will be even worse, especially on the road in a loud dome.

    Last matchup was 42-10 remember.

In the last 10 meetings Minnesota would have covered 13 only once
Though that was their last meeting Detroit is a bad team with two receivers who can grab a touchdown or two. I just can't bring myself to bet on the Lions Betting against them is more profitable

I think the only play here for me is the under 45 is alot of point. MINN's D should shut down DET and they will probably just shove the ball down there throat.tick..tock...tick!
Only goes over if AD breaks like 3 or 4 long ones and/or special teams/defensive TD's. Only reason that the Vikes game did last week. Don't see it two week in a row in fact I'll wager on it!  GLTA

Exactly.  This game is better off left alone.  But if you're compelled to get a piece of this non-action...

Bet Vikes.  I just hope you're not clutching your ticket at the end of the 4th quarter because Minnesota decided to sit down on a lead and let Detroit score some meaningless touchdown.  Believe me, it happens with Minnesota.  I've seen it time and time again over the years.  It may have to do with the fact that Vikings aren't used to putting teams away.....
