CIN -13: the rap on Cincy is that they play down to their competition. They do read the papers and are now at home. I see this as a statement game for the better team. I smell a blow-out of epic proportions. Score: Bengals 28-Lions 10 (4 units).

My beloved Lions are going to get ripped apart by the Bengals.  This game will be ugly.  A couple of you posters have been kind giving my Lions 10 Pts.  I think Hanson may get a field goal or two so lets go 38-6 Cincy.

   With the Bengals just content to just win the game, this is the type of contest , getting double digits, on the road that screams L I O N S ! ! !  (My records show very strong cover possibilities). I mean if Oakland can beat them, and the Browns get a cover, I got to like my chances here! In fact a major wager is in store!

1, this is not a game to go large on, but that's your call....

2, before you make the wager, check out the last regular season matchup between these two teams.... the game was for the bengals to clinch their first playoffs in 2005... Palmer TORCHED the Lions in Detroit putting up 41 points...

3. Cincy is at home.... cincy at home is not losing to Oakland

4. Benson is back.... he is going to run wild.... he's well rested and probably could have played last week... and he is now fighting Larry Johnson secretly after he had a great week last Sunday

5. Rookie qb on the road in Stafford, or Washed-up qb on the road in Culpepper.... = Detroit Turnovers....

6. Detroit has not been covering double digit spreads all year....

as much as I love Cincy this week... I hate laying this may points.... it will definitely be a part of one of my teasers...

but 2tds against the lions on the road is really not that much... they will probably win by around 20 points in my opinion....

If Im going to be laying double digits I'd at least want to be confident that the team will put up 20 points.

Besides Cincy's blowout against the Bears, their other 7 wins were by an average of less than 6 points.  And that's not including the loss to OAK.  Cincy did play some decent teams, so that number is not quite as bad as it might look.

Cincy also travels to MInn next week, then SD.  Could they be looking ahead?

Oh, and that Bears blowout was the Cedric Benson revenge game.

These guys remind me a bit of Penn State.  They don't step on the necks of the beaten.  Take the win and look toward the next game.

These are just thoughts at this point. I'm still not sure which way I'm going with this game...it is Detroit afterall.
