This game to me will be very close. I know the lions suck, but the bears arent much better. The bears cannot even run the football. How can the bears be favored by this much. The lions did pretty well against the redskins. The oddmakers have this line opening at 12 which to me is way to much. I will take the lions on the road with the points. Thats the lion +12 points

ok,  the Bears are MUCH BETTER than the Lions will ever be.  The lions beat the lowly redskins.  that's nothing to be happy about.  Personally, I would stay away from this game.  I'm going back and forth about the over under if I even had to play this game.  38.5 is the point total as of tod.  You don't need a running game to beat Detroit...u just need an average NFL team.  Jay Cutler will dink and dunk, and skin the Lions alive.    I'm thinking over as of tod, but I'm really torn.

Yeah I understand a lot of people taking the lions.  But I do think people should remember, prior to their low scoring win @ home last week, they got beat by double digits the first 2 games.

Take Chicago. The Lions are hot garbage.  Yea they hot now that they won a game, but the Bears are actually a good team. Im reserving the right to change my mind if it is announced that my boy Kevin Smith is going to play.  Dude was killing it against the Skins until getting injured in the 3rd. Without him the Lions offense looked horrid. Thanks to a bone-headed 47 yard pass interference they were actually able to score from the one in the 4th. Not to mention how much of a buffoon Jim Zorn is. Compared to him Lovie Smith looks like creme brulee.

Chicago is 1-5 when favored by double digits
Lions are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games as a road underdog
Lions are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games
Favorites of 6.5 or more are 30-6 ATS going into a bye

    DETROIT is feeling like
    an NFL team and until
    someone stops their 1
    game winning streak
I have to take the pts.
    LIONS +10.

BOTH TEAMS ARE CAPABLE OF PUTTING UP POINTS. I THINK OVER IS THE PLAY. I THINK THE BEARS WILL WIN, HOWEVER I DON'T KNOW IF THEY WILL COVER. OVER AND THE LOINS FOR ME.

I just don’t have a good feel for this game

Its allot of points for CHI

I would lean DET here to cover but that’s about it

i'm staying away from this game...it's definitely an important game for both teams and we don't know how well DET will play after they won.  CHI has been showing improvements every week.  +10 is alot but I don't see a reason why CHI can't win by 2 TDs.

Here's the thing:  Detroit is giving up an average of 3 passing touchdowns per game, and Cutler's getting more and more comfortable with his targets, reads, the offense, etc.

And despite what's been said about them, you can put me in on the wagon of believers that the Bears are actually a pretty GOOD football while the Lions, despite their "hot streak" are still a pretty bad football team.

You got Stafford's first start in Chicago, emotions probably running high;  he could make some mistakes again.

I understand the arguments for thinking this could be a close game but I just don't buy it.

I think Chicago takes care of business here and covers the 10.
