Are you guys serious...comparing Joe Webb to Matt Flynn in their ability to handle an NFL passing game against a solid defense? Flynn played for a natl championship at LSU, and against much better talent in college. Flynn studied two years behind one of the better QB's in the NFL and his taken a ton of snaps in practice and played alot of preseason. Webb is rookie. One that was never expected to see the field this year and certainly took an extremely limited amount of snaps in his only year with the team. And the play of the cast around Flynn has far exceeded the mess the Vikings have been trying to settle all year.
This is throwing a rookie into the fire, and one that not only has less than a year in the league, but hardly any time practicing the hardest position on the field...and going against a stout, pressuring defense. Slick ball, hard field, pressure, and no experience...good luck not turning the ball over all day long. So he can run fast, the Bears will stack all night to stop the run. Thus aint no option football league. The QB scramble only works when you have the defense respecting the pass. Which isn't the case here. This game will be WAY too fast for a guy as inexperienced and unpracticed as Webb. This is nothing like the Flynn (or even Grossman) situation, not in the least.
Favre playing = smokescreen yet if he does play I'd welcome Mr. 10TD/18INT back with open arms. Especially since he three 3 picks in the first meeting. Love to see him test his shoulder in freezing harsh conditions on a hard field. Not gonna happen. Theyre trying to take some heat off Webb. Bears won't buy it.
Is it just me or is this Minnesota team the most annoying team in recent history? They are not a factor and they just won't go away with all the bs drama. Just cut the shit, finish your games quietly and go away. Geez, the drama is old, stale, and no one outside the state gives a damn.
