this Pats fan's opinion is I don't see the Patriots doing anything to warrant giving double digits to any team, let alone the Panthers.

We all know the Pats can explode and put up big numbers in a hurry so I might just stay away but to be honest I don't see it happening and I really don't see them blowing anyone out right now.

Too many holes on D and the O is so predictable right now it's embarrassing.

Delhomme isn't playing retard.  Carolina got lucky and had like 3 red zone picks against shitty Tampa Bay.  Deangelo Williams probably isn't playing either.

bvdmoney.....don't post nonsense on these boards.

Man I love to watch the Pats lose   Having said that however, I don't see them losing this week. I don't see them covering the spread either though. If the Panthers can move the football on the ground, they'll be alright and getting 13.5 will be a cinch. Take the points and if for some reason the Pats play like crap again and lose, do like I do and

Pat's have only beat 1 team by more than 10 points this year.  Their D is pretty aweful most games.  I'll take Car and the points.  Pat's win by 10 at the most, but I don't even see that, really.  Brady left the game last week and went straight to the locker room.  Haven't heard anything since, but the commentators of the game seemed to think it was a finger injury.  The Pat's need to start performing or they're going nowhere in the playoffs. Until they start winning games like they have been the past few years, I'm not giving anyone that many points.

TENN 0 NE 59..59 pt dif

Pat's avg win margin at home /pg is basically equal to what Car' scores  /pg...... also too close to playoffs we all know Pat's and a few other teams have the ability to change gears at this point in the season, unlike the rest of the league.

Patriots' weakness is mainly there pass coverage on defense. And Carolina with Delhomme at the helm, isn't exactly a threat. At this time of the year, I expect it to be cold, which may or may not be a factor, but the strong winds will be.

Patriots with Tom Brady are familiar with playing in these conditions, and will do everything in their power to avoid a 3rd straight loss.

If the Pats can stop Carolina's rushing game, which is the only thing the Panthers have going for them this year, I think they can win by DD.

Panthers without Jake will be one dimensional, and the Pats D can stop the run... that's about all Pats D does well right now.

Can't understand the Pats playcalling.  Why they've stopped throwing to their TE's is just absurd. Watson and Baker are both viable weapons.  Brady's been forcing the ball to Moss when TE's are open.  Now two losses in a row and lots of new controversy this week on the Pats.  Losing does that to many teams and Pats aren't hadnling it well.  Player leadership has been sorely lacking. Shouldn't be too surprised by that with Bruschi, Vrabel, Harrison and Seymour gone.

Needless to say, this game is pivotal.. Pats can get back on track with a dominant win... anything less and the current tail-spin could well degrade into a death spiral.  Pats are super tough at home and should cover against the wounded cats.

No Jake The Snake means CAR will be running the ball.

About the only good thing the NE defense can do is stop the run.

    Big game for NE here

I'll lean NE to cover here.

The only chance Carolina has is to control the clock with their running game.No matter who is the QB they are one dimensional and the Pats will put double coverage on Steve Smith. If the Pats can get their running game going and take the pressure off Brady I believe they will win by 2 TDS.

CAR +13.5: i'm waiting for 14 before i pull the trigger. Carolina is playing well and the Pats are underperforming.  Bellicek sending players home like first graders tells me the locker room may be in dissaray....i'm just sayin. Score: Panthers 21-Patriots 28 (2 units).

NE -13.5: Well this is a pre-gameday switch, the PATs will not be taking this game lightly. Brady's finger should be healed and i don't see the Panther's with enough offensive power to keep up with New England.  Score: Panthers 10-Patriots 33 (2 units).

once they get ahead Belicheck will run up the score as he always does...

only question is.... is Brady playing?

Brady is nursing three injuries -- finger, shoulder, and ribs.  Plus he's also nursing a newborn baby at home, and hopefully still nursing on Giselle as well.

This game really could go either way.  As the first poster said, nothing the Pats have done earns them the right to give this many points.  All kinds of problems on both sides of the ball, and special teams aren't winning games either.

Still they are capable of covering.   I will likely avoid this game.   Otherwise I am on Saints, Jags, and Bolts so far.
