I'll take Carolina.  This is preseason and Carolina will be letting Clausen throw plenty......most of it against 2nd, 3rd and 4th string guys.  Most of the starting secondary in Baltimore is out for this game and a few more.  The staff won't risk piling up many more injuries to the front 7 now......they are already hurting big in the secondary with no less than 4 guys out including 2 starters.  Carolina has to find a lot of answers on that team this year so I think you will see more effort on the Panther side of the ball in the second half, and that is where preseason games are won and lost.  Jimmy throws an increadible deep ball.......this may be one of the backwards totals of the first week of the preseason.....especially with Balt so weak in the secondary for this game.........look for some vertical big plays late in this game.  I'll take Carolina and the over here.

Lots of injuries on the Carolina side as well.

The Carolina Panthers will be without 11 injured players in Thursday's preseason opener at Baltimore, including cornerback Chris Gamble, running back Jonathan Stewart and receiver Steve Smith. (NFL.com)

I'm in agreement with you Irish.  A few weeks ago I had circled Carolina when I saw the opening lines and then where it moved.  Also, I'm a big fan of the QB duo of Moore and Clauson and not a fan of any of the QBs on Balt.  I could care less if Carolina's RB is out or not.  Depth at the QB position is where it counts in preseason.

    Carolina +4

GL all and welcome back football cappers.

i'm still on balt.bulger should get them up early w/ enough pts to be able to stay there.i respect jimmys arm,but he's still a rookie after all, even w/ a thin secondary, that gives the guys who normally would'nt see much time a chance to show their stuff and possibly get a job.still doing BALT/UNDER.luck all..........T

Clausen and Cantwell versus Marc Bulger?

Ummm....unless you have dyslexia, Bulger is 15x better than both of those guys put together right now.

YES!bulger should be able to engineer enough lengthy drives to keep carolina off the field, score enough to give balt the early lead and sustain it,i'm looking forward to see how jimmy does with his much vaunted arm in his debut.
