Atlanta meets back up with a tough defense, Carolina pulls out a win.

Atlanta goes down hard here. As you saw with Denver any team with a passing game will murder the ATL secondary. The Falcants have played over their head the first half and will play to their true self the rest of the year.

    Carolina - 24                           Atlanta - 17
    Panthers +1                   under 42.5
Atlanta won't rebound off that SU favorite loss to the Broncos.
Carolina takes both games from the Falcs this season...

denver got lucky roddy white drops the game winner

it wont happen again and the Falcons are mad. Refs screwed us with so many calls. I feel bad for Carolina like i felt bad for Oakland.

I feel bad for the Falcant fans who have their hopes up for a playoff run only to have their team win 2 more games at most.

The Panthers will roll this week

Every time Atlanta loses you blame it on the refs.  What you will see in this game is exactly what Atlanta is... a team that caught some by surprise, but they are not very good.  In fact, Atlanta sucks.  Carolina will spank that ass mightily!

I see a game where Carolina runs the ball all over Atlanta just like Philly did....

Those 2 running backs are going to STAMPEDE this ATL defense.... look what the DENVER running by commitee did.... they made a FULLBACK look like a HALFBACK convincingly...

Delhomme will have a better game... they will incorporate Steve Smith and Muhammed into the offense alot more this week.... Delhomme is a good qb, just had a bad 2 weeks... but he'll bounce back in this division game....

then there is that guy PEPPERS on the Carolina defense.... he will get to Matt Ryan once or twice and it is going to be ugly...

I see a final score of  31-17.... nice high scoring affair

I'm on Atlanta at home here. The Falcons have played good ball in Atlanta. All they have to do is get the win this week.

    Falcons -1

Do you consider that "good ball" Atlanta played at home last week against one of the worst defenses in the league?  The ball is over for Cinderella.  Carolina takes this one with ease.

Delhomme has been playing like sh*t the last few weeks. Points will be at a premium here. Under is the play. Tight, run oriented, defensive division game here. Both teams know how important it is. GLTA

I'm not a believer in the Falcons. They've been great the first ten games of the year, and Mike Smith could be coach of the year, but I could easily see them hit the wall these last six games. Carolina is simply the better team and should win easily.

I like the Panthers getting a point here. I think Jake Delhomme steps up after a couple bad games and the Panthers finally start to take control of this division and get themselves a bye in the first round of the playoffs.

Come on this line too easy for Panthers backers.

Taking Atlanta -1 for a MEDIUM sized play

Atlanta -1 - Who thought Atlanta would be in the mix in week 12? But here they are. This is a big division game for them. It's time for them to prove that they can play with the big boys. Both Atlanta and Carolina have been much better at home this year. Although, Carolina got the win in Week 4, they got it at home. Travelling to Atlanta will be a different story. Carolina's D will put pressure on Ryan, but he's proved all year long that he can handle the heat, especially in Atlanta. With the line at -1 all the Falcons have to do is win. I think they'll gut this one out and get the series split and the cover. Take Atlanta.

Where have Carolina's losses this year been?  Oh yeah, on the road.  They have played weaker teams at home, and their record reflects that.  The Falcons are still a Roddy White dropped pass away from being undefeated at home.  It is going to be a battle of NFC South rivals...but I see the home team taking this one down.

    Atlanta -2

    Prediction:   Falcons  27  Panthers  20

"Any time that a team with a better record is an underdog against a team that usually means the team with the worse record is going to win. Atlanta did not play well in the second half against Denver last week but they have still been a very strong team this season. The Panthers were sleeping through the first half against a terrible Detroit team at home last week and I think are ripe for an upset. Carolina is 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games in Atlanta and Jake Delhomme is not taking care of the ball."
