When I looked at the Jet schedule.... i figured 2-2 going into the bye week......
 
then with brady out, i though maybe 3-1.... cause they had a chance against the Pats....
 
but after they blew that game....... then just got blown out on MNF.... I am shakey about laying any points with them.....
 
Arizona is no roll-over team and this is going to be a tough match....
 
Jets special teams and  home field advantage could be key.....

Since 1996 the cards are 0 - 3 vs Jets, why should now be any different. Mangini is 5 - 0 off DD ATS loss.

Jets aren't  very good...... still over rated even after that Monday night game. They will probably get thrown on again all day long. I'll take Arizona here.

Saw an overvalued Jets team going into the year and I have banked game after game by betting against them save the opener @ miami which they almost blew. The jets are garbage arizona rolls

Jets quarterback Brett Favre has a sprained ankle, which per Ed Werder of ESPN was “very sore” on Tuesday evening.

The ankle was rolled during the third quarter of Monday night’s loss to the Chargers.  Favre was noticeably limping after the game.

So will it disrupt Favre’s streak of 87,456 consecutive starts?

“Brett usually plays,” coach Eric Mangini said Tuesday, “and I would anticipate the same.”

X-rays were negative.  But the real question is whether Favre’s age will keep him from recovering as quickly as he has in the past.

Even if Favre is able to play, any limitations on his ability to practice could make it harder for him to get ready for a visit from Arizona and the NFL’s other resident graybearded quarterback, who surely would love to show that he’s still every bit as good as Favre.

New York and Arizona both had high expectations headed into 2008, and both are coming off tough road losses. The Jets have their backs to the wall and can't afford to drop this one at home. Still, it won't be easy. The Cardinals have talent on both sides of the ball and appear to be moving in the right direction. These teams are similar in the sense that both have first-time head coaches who are building on winning philosophies adopted from their previous stops. Both are led by veteran quarterbacks who have won Super Bowls during their careers. This should be a feisty battle between clubs that need to quickly get back on track to make a run in their respective divisions.

I think the Rain is a great advantage for the Jets.... Arizona throws the ball.... it will be slippery out there......  If the Jets don't call a shotgun every single play and run the football, then I think they can grind out a win against a Defense that isn't as good as SD, NE, or Miami..... with Brett's ankle and the rain I'm sure they aren't going to be throwing the ball every down.... I can see a ball control game which is more the type of game that Mangini is used to.... as long as they don't make any mistakes they should win this football game..... they know this is a must win at home while they are 1-2...
 
I like the JETS here...... I am a fan though so keep that in mind when reading my posts

At first I was going to play the Jets.  Its such a short line for a home team vs a sub caliber team like the Cards thats playing their second consec game on the road.  The Cards lose all the time on the road, so why the short line I was wondering... and I wanted to know if they traveled back to Arizona after their DC game.  They didn't, the Cards stayed on the East coast while the Jets had to travel back from SD on short week.  So now I don't like New York anymore (never have).. I'm thinking the play is on Arizona.

I agree.  It feels like an upset is brewing.  I would love to see Farve win his second game, but the Jets may not be able to put forth the effort.

I really can't decide.  I'll refrain from showing this contest any action, and cheer on our guy Favre.  GL

Favre probably doesn't even finish the game.  It is going to be rainy and sloppy and that doesn't fare good for Favre and his sore ankle.  Who is their backup anyways, Clemens?  He is probably fly fishing in Canada since Favre took over so if/when Favre comes out the game goes downhill from their.  Kurt Warner is experienced and the Edge can still run the ball.  Zona hung with a fairly good Washington team last weekend that has thrown 0 INT's.  The Jets looked pretty good in Sunny San Diego but they won't look good muddy New York.

What, are the Jets hitch-hiking back to N.Y. or something?? It's just a 5 hour flight for crying out loud!! If Favre can let go of his ego & just keep handing the ball off to T.J., the Jets will run roughshod over 'Zona's pathetic rush defense. Once again - J-E-T-S!!!! Cover!!

If it is raining I fly with the Jets. This line dropped 2 points from opening line but the public is only on the Jets by about 54-56%. That seems like a large line movement for such a small public favorite.
Plus ARZ is traveling to the east coast for the second week in a row- last week @ WASH. That is tough.
Jets back at home in some foul weather with the public on the over and the o/u dropping a point. I'll take the under too.

ARZ didn't travel back west last week- what is worse flying two weeks in a row or spending a week in a hotel, practicing at some high school or college facility?

the jets were 4-12 last year. they suck even worse this year. favre is awful. the whole team is awful. another fairly easy pick which would be arizona.
