hard game to handicap.  I'm thinking NE is in a do or Die mode.    hell with it.  never thought I would say this, but I think Az is the better team and may win straight up.

Arizona has been less than stellar traveling to the east coast this year.  NE is in a must win and they should want it more than Arizona

    ~Pats -8~
    ~over 44~

i can easily see the pats roll into the playoffs on a nice streak.  the elements will clearly not favor warner and co, but talented enough to contribute to the over.

I saw the pats in oakland Sunday and they looked pretty in tune....I would say that if offense constipated oakland can score over 24 on them that Arizona should have no problem matching that at least!!  I dont go with that who wants it more....talent wins games and both these teams have it. I don't think Arizona gets walked on and 8 is alot of points..hope they get practicing in new england tomorrow and get used to the time zone change.....rough weather is projected but we have time to check the timing exactly with the start time..gl

This spread is too high for comfort for me... I guarantee the Pats win SU, but the cover will be iffy. However, if your book still has in under 9 then it's right in the traditional teaser strike zone.

Take the Pats in a 2 teamer with Steelers.

AZ has been either bad or horrible in its east cost games this year, and expect that to continue. AZ is the worst running team in the league, and Belicheck will have some stuff cooked up to contain the passing game.

AZ has never had a very good defense this year, which has been evident vs. the better teams they have faced...

AZ let up 56 @ NYJ, 24 to WAS and DAL, 35 to MIN, 27 @ CAR,  37 to NYG, and 48 to PHI ( note how horrible the D has been on the east coast)

9 seems like a lot of points, but AZ has nothing to play for and has not travelled well this season, especially to the east coast. I hope AZ wins, but I wouldn't put money on them. No play for me.

    Go cards!

They got beat early and bad.
If they did try,New England beats them up too.
    Anyone watch Az/Minny game?????
info on them last week would help
    Thanks

i watched the Ariz/Minn game... Cards had two TO's in the 1st quarter, both of which were very questionable, both were challenged by upheld, and Cards had no challenges left 10 min into the game... the first TO on Arizona's first drive was 100% NOT a turnover... terrible call and even more terrible decision to uphold it... those TO's put Arizona in a big hole, along with a punt return for a TD by Berrian in the 1st quarter... they were down 21-0 in the 1st quarter...

looked to me like they weren't very focused coming into the game...

The Cards really have nothing to play for. They will automatically have a home game in the first round as the Division winner. They are already in and I guess the only argument you could make is that they want to go into the playoffs with some momentum rather than a losing streak. I agree with you that the Cards are the play here. The weather is going to be bad in NE this weekend which could keep the score low here. That being the case, 9 points is a lot. I'm laying off, but I think you're on the right side with the Cards. Btw... the Pats have been streaky this year and I don't think they've won 3 straight all year. I wouldn't put a major emphasis on that, but it's a factor.

BTW... I would definitely lock in AZ now if you're on them. That line won't stay at 9 points with snow in the forecast.

i have got to be missing something grand. the cards plus 9 to me is the play of the decade. has anyone seen their pass rush, better yet has cassel seen it? wut about their receiving core versus that pats secondary? futher more, and i know this may be a reach, but what about hightower and edge grindin out cold weather yards? fitz played college at pitt, warner spent a year in ny, this aint really a fair weather bunch. nfc west champs gettin 9 versus a probable wildcard, im puttin tons of money where my mouth is.(o.k. maybe not tons..........lol.............)

This guy said he watched the az/minny game and said they looked unfocused and outta sink.  The cards are in unfamiliar territory right now.  i honestly believe even though they have playoffs wrapped up that they went into last weeks game for a win and lost start to finish.  "You play to win the game."
This will play on their mind.  new england has been there done that and then some for the last decade.  they are at home and bellichek is good.  The cards have 2 good recievers and a quarterback who lives under a charmed star.  their def is alright.
Pats have a talented well coached qb who is in a winning organization.
good def, great wr and a better of. line and their running game is better than Az. the home game for the pats is big with Cards from Az.
Thats why the spread is 8 and not the 4.5-6.5
75% on pats.  Doesnt look like anyone believes in the Cards.

The first post on here says this is a hard game to handicap and hes right
Then he says over and that a good bet in games like this.
    Check the weather.
If its bad weather, take the Pats with their running game and offensive line and the home field advantage.
If the cards cant throw, they are doomed

    Here's the Weather...

Snow... This game will be low scoring and closer than 9.

    Pats 17 Cards 13

    Something like that.

Pats fan here, and I say the spread is too high.  First of all, anyone who thinks the Pats use this to roll into the playoffs is not aware of the situation.  They can't just win out and go in -- they need help, need other teams to lose.

Arizona's strength (passing offense) matches up perfectly with the Pats weakness (pass defense.)  Arizona sukked last week and I don't see them repeating it here.  I would not be shocked at all by an outright win by Arizona.   However I don't recommend you throw down $$ on Cardinals moneyline.

I am staying away from this one but if forced I would take AZ -8.

statitsically your are so right my dear friend. but that 32nd ranked rush o does not play an injury depleted pats d every week. im saying contrary to popular belief, these two guys do have the ability if called on this week. and maybe you should say the cards pass rush isnt that conistent, because tony romo would say they are "that good". im not saying this is da 85 bears against this weeks lions, im saying i cant see ne 9 points better. and arizona comin off a loss has alot to do with that theory. i do love back and forth though, you seem knowledgable so i could only benfit posting with you. good luck however you decide bud
