I've been sucking it up trying to make predictions this NBA playoffs.  I say if Boston won Game 1 outright and they're giving me + 7 on Boston for Game 2, then i'd be foolish not to lay the wood on Boston  + 7.

So that would be my play.  Boston  + 7.

But like I said before, i've been picking like sh*t lately.  Therefore i'm going to fade myself.

                                   ORLANDO  - 7

Boston won Game 1 outright as a 6 point dog, and they opened as a 7.5 point dog for Game 2.  It would seem to me that ORL should only be like a 3-4 point favorite.  Vega$ expects us to light up at the opportunity to slam them by betting Boston hard.  The line going down from 7.5 to 7 attests to that (public on Boston).  I'm not going to be fooled this time.  When it seems too easy, it usually is.  That's the psychology of all this.

Half psychology, half reality.

The reality is this.  Everything we need to know has already been mentioned on this thread.  Orlando will shoot better.  Boston has accomplished their goal of stealing one on the road.  Orlando can play better (especially Dwight)....and they must.  Boston was rolling......Orlando was rusty.  Boston's games lately haven't fallen anywhere remotely near the number of the spread.  Unless you really think Boston will steal both..........great chance that number won't be enough to hold Orlando.

But hey,..........what do i know? 

Over 189

I'm also gonna figure OVER since only once in past 4 or 5 that these 2 teams have played has the total gone over 188 (what it was Game 1), yet that number has gone up here 189.  Shouldn't that number be much lower (183-185?)

The Celtics haven't lost to Orlando by more than 57 pts... and the 4 pt win Sunday was, obviously, because Boston pulled up in the 4Q.

I'm LARGE on Boston +7 tonight.  The Celts haven't lost to Orlando by more than 7 pts in L7G... while limiting the Magic to just 88 ppg. (Also interesting to note that the visitor in this series is now 5-1 ATS with the only defeat coming by just 2 pts.)  Boston's now won four games OUTRIGHT as an underdog... and is 4-1 SU and ATS in the playoffs when catching 5 pts or more.

Hey... obvious typo... Celts haven't lost to the Magic by more than 7 points in any of the five meetings and have limited the Magic to just 88 ppg.

Howard will be doubled just enough so he will have to make jump hooks or falling away from the basket.....Celtics will not give him layups or slam dunks.We all know that Howard is a tight end on the court all muscle and  no shot,he's been exposed.....he'll get his rebounds and block shots,but the Celtics will once again force him off the block and if the Celtics guard the perimeter like last time this game will be under 7.5.Magic in a very close one,because they have to win tonight,but don't be surprised if the Celtics take game 2.BOSTON +7.5

It's been way too long since we've seen a Rasheed Wallace technical foul - expect one tonight, when the physical play doesn't produce the same results, because Dwight will not only check his attitude, but spend most of the night on the move, when he's much better offensively.

And the reason he'll be able to do that is Orlando's Game one 22% anomaly from beyond the arc will be much closer to 40%, where it usually is, stretching the Celtic defense and giving Dwight room to move, rebound, and put back.  And when he's fouled, he'll make more free throws then he did the other night.

The Celtics are back.  There's no question about it, which is why I'll be pounding the Boston series line after they lose this game.

As far as tonight's spread goes, it's hard to say.  This may be one of those game's that falls close to where the books have it, so I'll play the Orlando money line and expect them to even this series.

But it wouldn't surprise me if Boston goes away late, deciding not to try and match the energy the home crowd feeds into it's team as it's draining those outside shots.
