Boston at Los Angeles (06/10/2008)

Too many factors to call over 195.5 for the totals. I don't think that the Fakers got a descent defense against the Celtics. They love to attack the Fakers defense. Lakers D is no good as the Cavs and Pistons D. I could see a lot of jump shot and 3 pt shots for both teams, this will gonna be all game 2's 4th quarter.

Over 195.5 for me   

Boston's D isn't that good on the road,

they had trouble stopping premier scorers in rounds

1 and 2 Lakers run and gun, I think the spread

I tend to agree with this point. Again, if you watched the games and have  a clue you would have seen a Boston team that attacked the rim. The Lakers settled for jump shots in both games. That is not going to get you to the line. While I think LA is the best team in the West, the C's are the best in the league.

All that said I'd be shocked if the Lakers didnt win tonight.

For those of you who don't like the money bet, simply don't play. I and am talking ME, bet what I think will win for ME! Sometimes I will make a bet like this as I think LAL wins this game. I do think Boston covers and will bet that also. I also think the Celtics WILL WIN the series. If I could not afford to lose, I would not be betting! If I do lose, and yes it can happen, so be it! If I win I will be up over $1000 for the night. It is a risk that I am willing to take.

There is no need for some to get your panties in a bunch because you think it is a foolish bet. It may be for YOU. So maybe all can worry about YOUR OWN bets and let those of us who are on the other side worry about OURS! I find great value and am willing to risk it!

Until one of these teams can prove otherwise you have to go with the home court advantage. That is what the trend seems to be throughout the playoffs.

104+94=198 ...if you think that is gonna be the final score you might wanna play the over. As for me I see no value in the Lakers ML and I think even 9 is still too large for the Lakeshow to cover.

My play is the under...Celts bench has overachieved  (Cassell in 1, Powe in 2...seems like their 3pt percentage has been high as well). I think the Celts come out and try to slow down the show.

How do you win $1000? If you bet $1,000 (which I'm assuming is your 10 units) on a -600 Lakers Moneyline bet, you only stand to win $167, right? Not sure where you see the value in that, unless you see the Lakers as a sure-fire, 100% guaranteed win. Too much to risk for too little payout considering they are 0-4 against the Celtics this year and knowing the C's will probably take 1 out of these 3 LA home games.

With that said, I'm taking LA at -9.5, so I think you'll win your measley $167, but with this strategy you'll go broke quick.
