Golda Meir comes to mind rather quickly along with Thatcher.  Both of them would qualify.  But for sure men have held the leadership roles for so long --- and how many of them percentage-wise would qualify?

RAiders I clarified what I meant by admirable - those that show basically that you’re a good person with a good set of morals

I even listed some examples for you

And you still couldn’t attribute any to him......

Nope none of the ones you chose, maybe. But plenty that experts called 'admirable traits' do. You can choose your definition of admirable. That is fine.  But all leaders, be they good or bad folks, have some of the admirable traits.  They wouldn't get so far along in life if they didn't.  That's the point.

If I remember from some of your mlb posts.  You have a little bit on me. I just happened to have studied history a tad.
She had some good quotes as well too. Never read her biography though --- supposed to be good.

Ok let’s lose the subjective word ‘admirable’ so you can stop diverting

In my opinion Trump has none of the qualities that define you as a fundamentally decent person

    Humility
    Kindness
    Empathy
    Generosity
    Tact
    Integrity
    Honesty
    Fairness
    Graciousness
    Etc

His actions, heck his tweets alone, have shown that his personality is quite the opposite of all of the above

If you disagree show me examples. And any comments about him being a businessman are irrelevant - he must be judged as a president not a businessman

That in itself means he is unfit to lead America, irrespective of anything else he achieves

Yes.  Now you divert to your meaning of a 'good person'.  So, obviously, I can't disagree with that --- it is your opinion.  So, I am okay with that.    I was simply disagreeing with you cherry-picking and saying he didn't have traits of a leader, which he obviously does.  So, two entirely different issues.  No biggie -- you can be right about which traits you prefer in a person.

I never said that he didn’t have traits of a leader as he clearly does, almost by definition as he is POTUS

But he can never be someone who leads your country to a good place because at a personal level he has, as measured by the above characteristics, not a shred of decency in him

So irrespective of economic success or otherwise, America is doomed to a short term future at least that is divided, divisive, ignorant, intolerant, isolationist and encouraging of these traits in its people

Great analysis.  Several professionals (psychologists/psychiatrists/university professors) have diagnosed Trump as a "narcissistic sociopath."  He is also a serial sexual predator, so it came as no surprise when he enthusiastically endorsed Roy Moore, his vile kindred spirit.

Yes, that was first, when Luther looked like a winner.  Trump doesn't like to be associated with losers.

He's all about winning and never backing down or seeking any sort of conciliation.  Combined with a vicious temper and an undying lust for vengeance, those are dangerous traits for anybody wielding a great amount of political and military power.

Hockey, Hillary is not in office. Trump is. To defend him by claiming that his opponent from last year is in your view equally lacking is no defence at all

You are a riot. Its your list. Your list to determine if a person is righteous, you produced this list after admitting you would vote for hillary.  Now if you admit you would vote for hillary but not trump because he doesnt pass your "test of righteousness", by logical extension you must feel hillary possess most of these righteous characteristics, or she would not have received your support correct?

Your list, your comparison. Sorta tru ish?

WAS that supposed to be a logical deduction?

    Let’s try again

I believe Hillary was a poor candidate with a lot of questions about her integrity. You have my sympathy in having to choose between them

But these doubts about Hillary pale in comparison to the character of the man in office

And even his supporters know he has no decency, because their only defence of him, you included, is to point to deficiencies of others. Nothing about his own positives because none exist

Not much of a defence is it?

But she, like most politicians, also has some ideals hidden in there somewhere, ideals which would limit her nefarious activities somewhat

Trump not only does deals like all politicians, he had no ideals as a base. He did not enter office with a dream that he’s had to dilute. He had no dream for his party or his country

Point me to a single example in his personal business or political life where he has shown any qualities to be admired. A single one please?

He exists to please himself and not his country. Nothing more

I dare you or anyone to show me otherwise
This is the only part I was replying to.  Not disagreeing with you on the bad ones. But you simply cannot ignore the good ones. It is disingenuous.

Its not a defense. You ignored my original answer, you asked any trump supporter to give one admirable quality. I gave you one. You didnt reply to the actual post just brought up a list of qualities you feel make a person decent.  Anyways im not really responsive to "trump shaming". We will just agree to disagree.

It would seem a great spot to back the Pats - humbled in prime time and typically they have the Steelers number

But I am a woeful capper. My opinion is valueless. Unlike in here where it is to be revered.....
