If this continues and prices rise like the market falls there will street protests against the administration or some policy that is invoked and some of the protesters will engage in violent acts. Even if this is very minor one could see DJT and his minions will use it as an opportunity to claim it is an insurrection and impose martial law, at least in blue cities and states….What makes this problem worse is 39% of the voting population can’t look at someone like Trump, and figure out if he’s bad or not? I know there’s a lot of stupid and ignorant people in the world, but if they make up 39% of the population, we’re so screwed no matter what.
I do not see China or any other nation agreeing to Trumps actions because it would just fuel his fire….This is a non nuclear event that no one can afford to back down from! 4 months ago the world with 2 nasty conflicts was vastly better place!
Congress needs to intervene but does the majority have the nerve to?

The top 10% of Americans own 88% of equities, 88% of the stock market - The next 40% owns 12% of the stock market - The bottom 50% has debt -Summer of 2024 more Americans were using food banks than they ever have in history.
People over 70 own nearly 40% of investments. People within 10 years of retirement own 40%. They are basically financing the younger generations (their kids). One could say, iff they get wiped out, that flow stops.
Time is a flat circle

I would like to think out of that 10 % that hold 88% of the stock market the vast majority hold and donate heavily to the GOP candidate's that being said they have to be some what concerned about loses due to poor leadership decisions there will Strong discussions sooner then later! In normal times this will wouldn’t be a problem, In Trump world with all controls over the branches of government he won’t willingly concede without a smooth off ramp and there is none that will recover the loses of money and world relationship’s he F….ed with a capital F and China knows it!

Already Europe is willing to drop their tariffs on US autos. Japan has a negotiating team headed for Washington. Nobody likes change but here it comes and good for the future of the United States. China has been dismantling US manufacturing for decades and it needs to stop. And yes, that fight doesn't look easy.
Joe, you used Costco stock as a reference to declining stocks. Looked into it and found they didn't meet Wall Street sales expectations in February and began declining from their inflated price. Still it has increased +28% in the last yr, 440% in last 5 yrs.
The sky isn't falling.

What i would like to ask the maga cult members is what exactly do want trumphy to do and what things do you think will happen that will result in you and your family being better off. The things have been getting a lot better in the country until trumphy came back.
People i see in my circles complaining about things, is because of themselves not managing their own money, spending like drunken sailors buying things they dont need, then turning around and crying about the prices of things (which by the way is controlled by the companies). You see people living in houses that they shouldnt be in, everybody in the households having huge auto leases, racking up credit card debt buying useless shit, to keep up pace with others etc etc etc. Then these same people will cry over and over again about the price of gas or a food product, not even realizing had that not been blowing their money on less important things, the prices of the important things wouldnt actually seem high. The majority of the times, its peoples own fault. They just dont know how to manage their expenses and just want to buy things, even if they shouldnt be buying.

There is no end in sight for Trump chaos. Unlike first term, no adults in white house to restrain his worst impulses. In 2019 amd 2024, most economists predicted that US would be worse off if Trump is able to implement all his bad policies. No fluke different surveys of historians rank him as the worst president in US history.
