What a shock, Barack Hussein Obama backs Mosque at Ground Zero

While down in the Gulf of Mexico today ..the President was there for a 27 hr.photo shoot ........Sasha asked President Obama "Did you plug the hole yet daddy ?"

"Yes, Sasha WE are going to put a Mosque in the hole ..."

"No daddy, not that hole... I mean the one, that was leaking oil "

 A recent CNN poll found two-thirds (75%) of Americans oppose building the mosque in the neighborhood around Ground Zero.

I completely understand the context in post #5. . and your meaning...when I read it the first time ..

Muslims are just like the far left Democrats. They change what they call something and expect everyone to then believe it's something different.

Like President Obama making that comment at the Ramadan Dinner and then today backtracking on what he said .......insisting that he wasn’t endorsing the specific project but making a general plea for religious tolerance toward all. .... Yeah Right-O ..

I understand your point here, but there should never be a NAMBLA headquarters.  It should be destoyed if it is built - along with the sickening organization that built it.

President Obama's statement of his true feelings to a Muslim audience on Friday followed by a "backpedaling" for the public ....on Saturday ...

If he really thought it inappopriate ( the wisdom of the project).....he would have said so on Friday..

"As a citizen, and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country,"

"That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances"

I’m Barack Obama and I approve of this message although I don’t endorse it......God's peace be upon you .......

I think he is racist, has socialistic tendencies, and is not qualified for the position he holds...but I see nothing wrong with those statements...  and I hate the radical mooslims and even question whether Islam is a hate religion or not....

seems to me the COnstitution gives them the right.....

now the wisdom of doing it is ANOTHER ISSUE....

and the 'in your face' reason for building sure seems like the case here!

This is exactly right Anent"Our country has real problems that have nothing to do w/ a mosque being built."despite the fact that at first the president adopted the correct stance in principle,(i.e. the principle of freedom of worship)... he foolishly adopted an unnecessary and unimportant stance..

He thinks he's fighting principled issues for the Muslim World like  closing down Gitmo and civilian trails for Al-Qaeda prisoners ..

The fact of the matter is there are tens of thousands of Muslims being held in far worse conditions across Muslim countries....Muslims don't care about Gitmo ...they are not protesting .........

The mosque is not an issue for Muslims..Obama has made it one ....

When I first heard about the Obamosque,I thought how many practicing Muslims can there be in a commercial district who need a place of worship.....?

Again, Obama is fighting the wrong battle...he need's to put his efforts and energy in to addressing  the establishment of the State of Palestine. He should be focusing on peace in the Middle East ..which is more important and more valuable than a Obamosque in New York......

If you created as many fucked up situations in the USA as Obama has...and an election was right around the corner...don't you think you might want some "misdirection" like this to take the lousy economy, 9+% unemployment and 20+ % underwater houses ( or more ) off the front pages.

The mosque isn't proposed to be on ground zero, it is 2-3 blocks away ( yes the Burlington coat factory was hit by the landing gear of one of the planes.)

We are not at war with Muslims
We are not at war with Islam

We ARE AT WAR with a radical element of Islam, and to consider ever Muslim as the enemy is foolish.

If that is the case, why are we in Iraq and Afghanistan where the population is Muslim.

Are they too our enemies?
