According to Atlantic council, Iran is unlikely to surrender despite being weakened.  To avoid a long war, impatient Trump might need to settle for less without regime change. Iran would be a reduced threat needing years to rebuild.  But hard to imagine Trump declaring victory if Iran continues to block oil shipping in strait.  Problem is deploying ground troops could be a dangerous gamble.  For Iran, victory is survival of regime.
