Statements from US and Western officials, as well as accounts in the mainstream media, have created a purposefully misleading image of Ukraine. There has been an effort to portray the country not only as a victim of Putin’s aggression, but as a plucky and noble underdog and a champion of freedom and democracy in the region. CNN’s John Blake literally compared Ukraine to America in the Revolutionary War.
The reality is darker and troubling: Ukraine has long been one of the most corrupt countries in a world of corrupt countries.
Ukraine’s track record of protecting democracy and civil liberties is not much better than its performance on corruption. In Freedom House’s 2022 report, Ukraine is listed in the “partly free” category, with a score of 61 out of a possible 100.
While there is no evidence US funds were spent on these Swiss properties, corruption has been rampant in Ukraine since the end of the Cold War and the world is now turning a blind eye while pumping Kiev’s coffers full of the folding stuff. Given this sobering reality, calls for Americans to “stand with Ukraine” are misplaced.

As long as the majority of Western countries continue united to militarily and financially support Ukraine, chances are Putin going to lose his war against Ukraine.

Russian losses.
Ukraine, which regularly provides updates on Russian military losses, said on Facebook that since Vladimir Putin's war began on February 24, Russia has lost 1,637 tanks, including 35 in a single day.
The Russian military has also lost 36,900 military personnel, 3,811 armored combat vehicles, 828 artillery systems, 247 multiple rocket launchers, 107 air defense systems, 217 aircraft, 669 operational-tactical UAVs, 15 warships and boats, 2,685 vehicles and tankers, and 187 helicopters, according to Ukraine's combat losses update, posted by the general staff of the country's armed forces.

The words came out of Valeriy Zaluzhniy, commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, "the timely arrival of M142 HIMARS, which deliver surgical strikes on enemy control posts, ammunition and fuel storage depots,".

It appears these highly accurate rocket systems provided by western countries, mainly the U.S., have tipped the advantage point toward Ukraine from Russia in the battle of the Eastern and Southern Front.

Ukraine’s first lady, Olena Zelenska, visited Washington at the invitation of the U.S. first lady Jill Biden. Zelenska met Monday with Secretary of State Antony Blinken. U.S. State Department spokesman Ned Price said Blinken assured her of the United States’ commitment to Ukraine, and commended her for her work with civilians dealing with trauma and other damage from the war. Zelenska is expected to meet with Jill Biden on Tuesday.
