Biden and other presidents did not have an open border policy. Roughly the same number of illegal immigrants were deported under Biden as the 1.5 million in Trump first term. Due to strong US economic recovery, US attracted more immigration under Biden. Texas data shows homicide conviction for illegal immigrants is 2 per 100,000 people and 3 per 100,000 for native born Americans. Since 15% of US population is foreign born, Americans are a far greater threat than immigrants. But as a demagogue, Trump appeals to the prejudice and ignorance of his cult by scapegoating mostly harmless minorities.
