Very good observations...by the way I like your moniker "One toke" I've been one toke over the line a few times,in times past..

..and you are correct the Democrats do not want to join together to solve this crisis ..earlier this week I heard Sem. Schumer saying on the floor of the Senate that we all need to pull together to beat this thing and in the next sentence he attacks President Trump..I also agree with you that the Republican will win the Senate and the Presidentcy,, the House will be a little harder task..however in can be done and needs to be done to allow President Trump 4 years to keep America Great..

This is probably the most rational post I've read in the political forums.  My factor into thinking Trump will win in Nov is due to low voter turnout not because the guy is popular.  Trump has done diddly squat to expand his base which is odd but whatever he seems to think his strategy will work the general.  Joe Biden needs to win over people which is going to be very difficult to do IMO.

Well, there's a lot of math and some estimation that goes into trying to cap politics.  My response to you is that I believe Trump will drive voter turnout up.  2016 was a depressed voter turnout since the public thought Hillary was going to win and Bernie voters didn't want to vote for her.  You'll see some of a repeat for Bernie voters and Biden but I feel that apathetic voters now think their votes make a slight difference.  If Biden wins based on what I'm saying, it's not because he's overly popular and an amazing politician.  It has more to do with an anti-Trump vote.  Most of those people who will vote for Biden just feel he'll surround himself with qualified professionals and not talk over them.  It may not be exciting but it's a return to normalcy and Republicans may not realize the public is tired of Trump's antics.  If he were a boss or employee at a place you worked at, you'd leave or see him get fired.  Oh, but being president is different.  Right?  Well, I don't think it's any different and his conduct has been embarrassing at times.

Makes sense.  I have a feeling this event will make or break re-election for Trump.  How he handles it will be huge.

I may need to hedge my bet... we'll see.

@28:32...is this the real reason why Trump never followed thru with his "lock her up" mantra? He did consider himself a Democrat for a while, so when in Rome...an_light

I think the only way Trump does not win the election is if he decides not to run.  He'll be 74 in June and might decide that he's had enough and want to just retire to the private sector.  I think there's very good value in betting Pence to win the election at 50-1.  This is especially the case if Trump pulls out late and there's minimal time to digest the qualifications of Pence.  By this point, America will be recovering from Coronavirus and the Republicans can successfully push the needing GOP stability at that time.  Remember, Trump was never hellbent on becoming president.  He said he would run if he saw the need to, he saw that need and was probably surprised that he won.  The dude has balls.  He has little filter.  It's not impossible that he stuns the world and doesn't run.

The Democratic party is an uncoordinated disaster.  The best three candidates they have produced in their estimation over the past four years have been a corrupt woman in Hillary, a 78 year old guy in Biden who is clinging to Obama's legacy and can't utter a coherent sentence and a mad scientist looking Socialist who had previously shunned Democratic representation.  Sanders running under the Democratic ticket would be like the Jets inducting Tom Brady into their Ring of Honor.  The Democratic strategy has been to plan to take down Trump instead of extolling the candidacy of one of their own.  Russia didn't work and the impeachment trial was an abject failure.  The Dems think they caught a fortuitous break with the coronavirus, but they will f**k this opportunity up too.

Like most elections, it will come down to the swing states.

    Trump's advantages...

    * Those who voted for Trump are very likely to do so again.

    * Trump's likely primary opponent won't fill a niche like female or African American.

    * The Dems have a feeble strategy

    Trump's disadvantages...

    * The media, sans Fox, leans heavily to the left and their efforts to disparage him will kick into overdrive.

    * Trump has a limited filter and is liable to say something irreparably damaging at any point.

    * Enough people could be economically impacted and brainwashed into thinking Trump is the issue.

3 units on Trump at -110

1 unit on Pence at +5000

Perhaps China & Russia would now prefer a senile & sleepy Joe behind the wheel ... at this point in time entering World War C, i dont think the american people decide who is going to be their next president...for all we know, we might end up seeing a Pence vs Sanders match upan_light

Thanks Rush.  I think betting Pence is definitely worth a unit.

I can't believe I'm writing this, but I also think there's value in Cuomo at 20 to 1.  Justified or not, Cuomo is receiving accolades for his managing of the virus in New York.  I can see him parlaying that momentum into usurping the nomination from Biden.  This coronavirus is really hurting Biden's chances.  Instead of putting away his Democratic competition and preparing for Trump, Biden now has to quickly generate a strategy to remain relevant while Cuomo gets all the air time.  Coronavirus is not going away any time soon.  The left wing media will be looking for their hero to take down Trump and Cuomo could be that guy.

Cuomo very well could be.  That wouldn't surprise me, considering Biden looks confused in his cave when he gives his pressers from the bunker. lol.

I do have to say Cuomo doesn't inspire any leadership skills when I hear him speak.  He speaks very slow, deliberate, like some kind of former Mob boss.  (he is Italian after all. lol).  But that's not why I don't like him.  He just doesn't come across as a leader that can face this head on.   Also, stand up at a podium when you speak Cuomo , you lazy ass.

I contrast Cuomo with my CA governor (Newsom), whom I despise (politically) just as much.  But I have to say I think G. Newsom is doing a tremendous job in this crisis.  He ordered the lockdown in CA a few weeks ago, and speaks very confidently and can answer the questions and the daily pressers.  I commend him for what he'd done !  an_clap  You find out the true character of people (in leadership positions) in times of crisis.

Depends if you are for or against human/sex trafficking as well as pedophelia all connected with Epstein Island.

Those emails are littered with hard evidence to convict every single household name in American politics, countless actors & actresses, endless hollywood executives, along with global leaders, heads of states, royal family members (Prince Andrew is not the only one).

Dont you think the American public deserves to know what Bill and Hillary were doing on Epstein's private island all 26 times?

Dont you think the American public deserves to know why Tony Podesta just walked away from his company?

Dont you think the American public deserves to know why Haiti is still waiting for all the $ the clinton foundation raised for their country following the earthquake?

Dont you think the American public deserves to know why Hillary admires Margaret Sanger so much?

Dont you think the American public deserves to read in Hillary's own words her stance on  how world population is only sustainable with half a billion people and how she planned on diminishing the world population quickly, during her time as secretary of state?

C'mon Raider, lets not be afraid for Hillary's safety or well being...if she didnt do anything wrong, then theres nothing to hide in those emails...maybe a little embarassment sure, we've all written a few emails we may not be too prous of so i get it...but we were never secretary of state either right? Plus shes the biggest embarassment in political history to have lost to Trump in the last election, how could anything ever be more embarassing than that?

Let's open the Pandora box and see what we find shall we?

I suppose we will have to wait until 2021 when Trump settles in for another 4 years to go down that rabbit hole...you didnt forget Trump's campaign promise to lock her up did you? he promised to drain the swamp didnt he?

There are a lot of stories being held on pause due to the Wuhan Chinese virus. Come early 2021, you better buckle up buttercup...its going to be a very informative year full of discovery...and mysterious suicides

Bernie had no balls to eviscerate Biden and end his campaign.

Trump absolutely will hold no punches against Biden.

”Sleepy Joe” “Dementia Joe” “Corrupt Joe” “Stuttering Joe” “Lying Joe” “Rapist Joe”

It’s going to be ugly for dems and a reality check.
