Yeah shock that Trumps lapdogs didnt cave as they always do even though the three who did are the absolute most partisan clowns on the bench. It goes to show that Trump tried to manipulate a 50 year old loophole that no other president had used which had absolutely ZERO validity to it because he knows congress will not agree to his thug zero ego manipulation schemes.
But there is a global emergency because Trump says there is one!

US commerce department reveals record trade deficits in 2025 despite Trump tariffs. Reckless for Trump to impose illegal tariffs and promise they would reduce budget deficits and pay $2000 dividend to each American. International monetary fund says US economy should be stronger without Trump tariffs and mass deportation of immigrants.

Politico reports that Trump administration could face hundreds of thousands of lawsuits as it tries to delay tariff refunds. Unlike others, his administration loses almost 70% of the time in courts because of illegal policies according to legal organization Democracy forward.

Thousands of importers can now begin applying for refunds worth billions of dollars from Trump illegal tariffs. Refund process is likely to be a mess. Companies are not illegally obligated to refund customers to compensate for higher prices. US economic growth is harmed because 90% of the burden hit consumers and businesses. Loss of tariff revenue worsens government deficits and debt. No way tariffs can replace income tax in efficiently generating revenue. Other Trump tariffs could also be challenged in court.

Right, crickets from the TNC crowd about how this stupid scam worked out. Same goes for the DOGE idiocy and most any other action Trump has taken. The consumer got screwed on this and what is worse is that prices once elevated are slow to come back if they do at all.
I guess I wont be getting MY tariff check as promised either..

By filing appeal, Trump administration is refusing to give back tariff revenue illegally collected from Americans. Corrupt government stole billions of dollars from importers. Denying them their legally owed refunds should not be allowed by court.

Trump administration threatens new tariffs based on forced labor. Oddly, countries with strong labor laws are also punished. For examples, Canada, Australia, United kingdom and European union. However among developed countries, US ranks as the worst in workers rights. Problem is Trump administration is trying to replace less income taxes with more tariffs to shift tax burden away from the rich. No way tariffs are fairer or more effective in generating revenue for government.

Depends on the specific tariff. The administration has discussed tariffs for several reasons, including trade imbalances, protecting domestic manufacturing, national security, and concerns about unfair trade practices. So, this could be seen as oversimplification.
Supporters of tariffs would argue that tariffs are often aimed at trade policy or economic leverage, not as a direct scorecard of labor rights.
Too absolute to say the USA ranks as the worst. Depends on the metric and source. Even then it would be better to simply say they rank near the bottom in whichever.
'Shifting the burden' is political interpretation instead of established fact.
Many economists will disagree about the fairness and generating income as well. The obvious counter is the historical evidence.
The argument can be about efficiency and how equitable, not about whether they can generate revenue.
'Worst' and 'no way' are too absolute and make the claims too difficult to prove.

Hypocritical for Trump administration to introduce tariffs based on forced labor while easing enforcement of Biden's anti-forced labor policies. New tariffs have nothing to do with forced labor and everything to do with Trump seeking advantage in trade negotiations. But unlike previous tariffs struck down in court, new tariffs require public consultation with growing opposition expected.

MSNBC reports no coincidence that US job market bounced back after supreme court struck down Trump illegal tariffs. He inherited a strong economy from Biden administration. US economy could be better if not for Trump bad policies. Polls show most Americans disapprove of his handling of economy.
