So, we’re pirates now?… What we have here is an elderly narcissist makes up a weak national security excuse to invade a much less powerful neighbor to grab their natural resources. He escalates totally without concern for international opinion, or the lives lost . Doing so ruins productive security agreements with allies, and creates mistrust from the rest of the world, setting his nation back decades, even risking any perceived economic advances he claims to have accomplished. Of course I’m talking about Putin, right? 

US sanctions against Venezuela are illegal under international law and not approved by United nations security council.  Instead of forced regime change, sanctions create economic and humanitarian crisis with shortages of food and medicine in population.  US has a history of intervening in resource rich nations under disguise of various excuses such as fighting drug trafficking.

The tanker, known as the Skipper, has been on a U.S. sanctions list for several years for allegedly moving crude tied to a clandestine Venezuela–Iran oil network that Washington says helped generate revenue for foreign terrorist organizations. 

According to officials, that designation rendered the vessel "blocked property" under U.S. law, allowing the Justice Department to seek and obtain a federal warrant to seize it under civil forfeiture statutes. That process — rooted in domestic law and executed through a U.S. court — is the basis for Thursday’s operation, administration officials said.

No one cares about facts....and when I say facts that would include facts that the public may not know about....the whole Venezuelan thing looks odd, but that ship seized has been sanctioned so it was not some random seizure...sometimes you have to chalk it up that the public doesn't know everything, and rightfully so, but what we do know is that it looks very odd...there is no full disclosure here, yet, and so time will tell what the hell is going on and what the motive is here....guess all you want, but that's all that it really is at this point based on information provided to the public...I'm more interested in what we have not been told before I pass judgment here...blow up drug boats, I don't care....seize a tanker that may be involved in shady shit even after years of sanctions, I don't give a shit...send troops on the ground to Venezuela then it starts to fade for me...

It's like Charlie Wilson's War with this administration...next up, we have surrounded the North Pole and Santa and his lil reindeer are going to be taken into custody for not having ICE cube papers....

Now Trump wants his own board of peace! Which he would be the dictator…I mean the director! Having and or wanting Benjamin Netanyahu and Vladimir Putin on the board tells you how serious Trump is about peace. IOW, not at all. It really is an Orwellian effort.

Why are war criminals invited to board of peace?  Putin refuses to end war against Ukraine.  Experts warn Trump is trying to create an unaccountable alternative to United nations security council where only he has veto power.  He wants to turn Gaza into the riviera of the middle east with displacement of millions of Palestinians.  Top US allies are not participating in his vanity project.

Maybe some here should stop worrying about what things they worry about in life. Am sure alot of folks on this forum are concerned about what trump is doing and how it will their families lives. Not everybody is born with a giant silver spoon in their mouth

 You may think and say you don’t support Trump but in general your dialogue positions and have been heavily to the far right and there nasty behavior ! And that’s  ok because in my honest opinion Republicans have been for decades systematically propagandized into admiring a large number of nasty traits; Trump exhibits those traits in a highly exaggerated form which makes him extremely appealing to people who have spent their lives soaking in that propaganda as in today’s flavor of Love Trump! …And repulsive to most other people…..To point it appears you have unknowingly drank to much of the Red kool aid !
