lol

September 16, 2016

Jimmy Fallon asked Donald Trump last night on The Tonight Show if he ever played the board game Sorry. Trump quipped that he preferred Monopoly.

The joke played out in real time today at an event in Washington that was billed as a press conference regarding Trump’s widely publicized “birther” claims about President Obama. For more than five years, Trump has insinuated that Obama was not born in the United States, and his ongoing attacks started the birther movement, a conspiracy that some extended to claiming Obama was a Muslim who wanted to change the U.S. Constitution.

"I have people, very smart people, that have been studying his birth certificate, and they cannot believe what they're finding...they can't believe....I would like to have him show his birth certificate, and can I be honest with you? I hope he can. Because if he can't, if he can't, if he wasn't born in this country, which is a real possibility, and I believe that, then he has pulled one of the great cons in the history of politics."

"Why doesn't he show his birth certificate? Why? There's something on that birth certificate that he doesn't like."
"His grandmother in Kenya said, 'Oh, no, he was born in Kenya and I was there and I witnessed the birth.' She's on tape. That tape's going to be produced fairly soon. Somebody is coming out with a book in two weeks, it will be very interesting."
"An 'extremely credible source' has called my office and told me that @BarackObama's birth certificate is a fraud."
"He doesn't have a birth certificate, or if he does, there's something on that certificate that is very bad for him. Now, somebody told me -- and I have no idea if this is bad for him or not, but perhaps it would be -- that where it says 'religion,' it might have 'Muslim.' And if you're a Muslim, you don't change your religion, by the way." - Religion isn't listed on birth certificates.

"A lot of people do not think it was an authentic certificate. ... Many people do not think it was authentic. His mother was not in the hospital. There are many other things that came out. And frankly if you would report it accurately I think you'd probably get better ratings than you're getting."

"Was it a birth certificate? You tell me. Some people say that was not his birth certificate. Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. I'm saying I don't know. Nobody knows."
More than a year after Obama released his longform birth certificate, Trump tweeted: "How amazing, the State Health Director who verified copies of Obama's 'birth certificate' died in plane crash today. All others lived."

The birther issue actually was initiated by Hillary and her confidant, Sydney Blumenthal in 2008.

If Trump had "very smart people studying President Obama Birth Certificate"

Why did he want the President to release his  birth certificate ?

and her campaign

Trump is like any other politician. he lies when it's convenient to do so.

Trump is in it for the power, to feed his ego

ilsp2003,
Donald Trump is correct .........It is a fact, that in 2007 someone in the Clinton campaign was involved in starting the Birther controversy.

It is also a fact that Obama himself allowed his literary agent to claim for years that he had been born in Kenya..was he lying then just to turn a buck?

Ok so trump is a democrat that follows the lead of democrats.  And In fact this came from Hillary herself and trump has been and still is working for Hillary.

And then Hillary masterminded the GOP and others to then follow her lead.  Sounds like strategic genius and a champion of leaders to get the GOP to do her bidding and carry out her idea. Such compelling and strong leadership

The following copy and pastes from infowars. com explains the beginning of the birther theory. As Donald Trump declared once and for all Friday that Barack Obama was, in fact, born in the United States, the mainstream media, and Hillary Clinton are still complaining that he peddled the conspiracy for the last five years. But another revelation on Friday confirms what Trump has said all along, that the Clinton camp started the rumors in 2008.

According to Breitbart, Clinton’s short-term 2008 campaign manager, Patti Solis Doyle, admitted that a campaign staffer circulated what became known as the “Birther” theory that Obama wasn’t born in the USA and therefore was ineligible to be elected president.

On Twitter, Doyle said it was a “rogue staffer” who sent out an e-mail and “was fired pretty damn quick.” Later on CNN, Doyle told Wolf Blitzer, “The campaign nor Hillary did not start the Birther movement, period, end of story there. There was a volunteer coordinator, I believe, in late 2007, I believe, in December, one of our volunteer coordinators in one of the counties in Iowa — I don’t recall whether they were an actual paid staffer, but they did forward an email that promoted the conspiracy.”

For years, Trump has been a major promoter of a lie about Obama even after release of birth certificate in 2011.  Now he falsely blames Clinton for starting the birth conspiracy.

According to politifact and factcheck, there is no proof that Clinton or anyone employed in her 2008 campaign alleged that Obama was not born in the US.  According to Snopes, birth conspiracy started earlier and Clinton supporters weren't the first.

I believe you are right ...Barack Obama was the original Birther, having claimed to have been “born in Kenya” in order to sell his books  Then it was the Clinton campaign who perpetuated the concept in Hillary Clinton's campaign in 2008, with supporters looking for any way they could to stop Obama from winning the nomination...

Clinton's fault

There are a few interesting take aways.  First is how when trump and his supporters are caught in a corner they will lie and point the finger else where. Character move would be to appologize and say they were wrong rather than pretend like they never promoted the idea.

second is that what does this say about trump?  People talk about him not having experience as being a good thing because we don't know what he is going to do.  But he reality is that we can look at his past behavior and predict future behavior and this is a great example.

Trump is not about solutions.  Putting time, energy and money into the birther issue is silly.  There is no plan for improvement, nothing competitave and no ingenuity. This is purely just putting energy and resource in to pinning a lie a on someone as a means of making them look worse.  And this is the basic strategy that he used in the GOP primaries and with Hillary.  Rather than promoting himself as the reason to support him he instead goes full force with the lyin Ted
And corrupt Hillary schitck.

Trump is out of touch.  On one side you have trump and his birther theory that he clung to even after the GOP itself had moved on because it was so absurd.  But not trump,  sensibility only drives him and fuels him to go full speed in the other direction.  One side of the issue you have the birth certificate, the historical truth and reality and then standing on the opposite end of that is trump.   Scary to think that people want someone that functions like this to be president.

Trump is a politician flipping and flopping all over the place.  Trump takes this extremist stance with the birther issue and then flips his view around 180 degrees. And trump did not choose the side of reality because it was the right thing to do, he did it because it benefits himself.  Trump has no real principles or anything solid.  He just says what ever he thinks will garner the most support flipping and flopping with a jelly fish with no back bone or anything resembling something solid.
