News flash...
Chipotle could have given bonuses and better wages to their employees years and years ago...their balance sheet shows plenty of cash to afford better reward for their labor force. It is also a smoke screen to an underlying business which is going down. Ive thought for years (and if you have seen my posts you would have caught it) that Chipotle is a sub 100 buck stock, their valuation is absurd and the stock was over 700 not that long ago. Fair value on the stock is I say 70 bucks...their growth is gone, their image is damaged and the stock is on a multi year low today. Bring it down to 2009 valuations and I might be interested. They need to focus on growing same store sales not increasing units and how they can bring back better internal growth.
I love it when companies try and hide their problems with marketing garbage like this.

Kimberly -Clark announced more layoffs while also rising their dividend 3.1%. They also closed 2 plants in Wisconsin.
Compass Group, Akami Technologies, Viacom, Teva Pharmaceuticals, Premier INC, IPL, Autodesk, Whirlpool, Sears, Academy Sports & Georgia Pacific have all announced layoffs in the 1st week of February.
Bon-ton announced the closing of 42 stores & filed for bankruptcy.
The joint venture between Xerox & Fujifulm will result in 10,000 losing their jobs.
Chesapeake Energy announced 400 layoffs mostly in Oklahoma.
Electrolux will close their plant in St. Cloud next year. Harley Davidson's plant in KC will also close.
I guess these folks won't be getting any bonuses or salary increases.

CVS Health will boost starting pay for hourly employees up $2 in crumbs to $11 per hour from $9 per hour, starting in April..CVS will increase employee pay and sweeten benefits to some employees using a
portion of the company's windfall from the new Trump tax law. The company has more than 240,000 employees.
CVS said the employee investments will total about $425 million crumbs annually. This spending includes the wage increases and improved benefits.

^This has nothing to due with the tax cut/bonuses but GrubHub announced hiring an additional 20,000 contractor drivers because they signed a new contract with Yum Brands to deliver food from their restaurants.
When I looked earlier today the stock was up $18. Saw the young CEO on TV this afternoon & was impressed.

Who cares? He made a comment about the company in question and that he liked their CEO etc...why the crap do you need to try and make something out of nothing? I'm confused. Do you have to answer a question? If a third party deems it baiting, do you have to answer? If there is no question, are you allowed to comment on someone's comment? If the comment is off topic, does that exclude it from further comment?
As long as it is not completely disrespectful, name-calling, or belittling (sort of like the complainer talks about Trump or anyone that seems to support him) --- then it should be okay. It is, after all, an open forum.

He made a comment...you felt the need to take a little shot at him for no purpose at all, that is my point...question, comment whatever...you are nitpicking even now. You are going off topic right now.
The point is negativity intentionally made to just be unpleasant. You were not adding ANY value making the comments you did, it served no purpose and his comment was not harming anyone in any way...so why make the comment at all? We both know why, you like to nitpick and be negative because that is the kind of person you are.
It grows tiring the negativity and whining you do so regularly, the intentional jabs and digs, how quick you are to jump in when there is an opportunity to take a shot, how little those things add in value.

U-Haul on Friday said it will issue bonuses to its full-time and part-time employees, joining other corporations in rewarding employees after the passage of the Trump tax reform.
The Phoenix-based moving and storage company, which is a subsidiary of AMERCO, said full-time employees will receive a one-time bonus of $1,200 and part-time workers will receive a bonus of $500. The bonuses will be issued by the end of February and amount to more than $23 million in payments to nearly 29,000 team members, U-Haul said.
