Free tuition?  You wind up paying more in taxes than the tuition.   Nothing is free.

Bernie Sanders the Democrat front runner has come up with a "Medicare for All" plan ....that will solve all our problems.

Under Sanders’ proposal, the government would pay all deductibles, coinsurance  expenses etc. — not for 55 million people but for 325 million.

His plan would provide even more benefits than Canada’s.

Urban Institute, a left-of-center think tank, calculated that Sanders' plan would cost $32 trillion over a decade....

Of course, Bernie hasn't come up with an exact plan for how to pay for it yet..

Perhaps, Bernie Sanders and the cosigners have not put up a funding plan for medicare for all yet. But 53% of surveyed Americans do agree with Bernie's proposal, according to the Kaiser Health Tracking Poll. USA is one step toward universal health care.

You are asking me...if financial responsibility should be applied to health insurance?    I would think all patients are financially responsible for the payment of copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and all other procedures or treatment not covered by their insurance plan.

No slim , I'm asking you if you think that if one can show financial responsibility they should not have to have med insurance. Like auto insurance.

The cost would probably exceed 32 T over 10 years....that is for sure the case, but instead of partisan finger pointing and blame tossing, why are we not asking WHY would it cost that sum and WHY does it not cost that sum in other countries?

analogy are two totally different issues and are not comparable..

I most certainly do think you should have to have med insurance. For the simple fact that my insurance increases even if I don't use it because of people that don't or can't pay their med bills.

I most certainly do think you should have to have med insurance. For the simple fact that my insurance increases even if I don't use it because of people that don't or can't pay their med bills.

Now let's answer the real question....
Who should pay for each individual's health insurance?
    I say the individual-

I like Kamala Harris a lot. I've met her before, I thought she did well in San Francisco, and I assumed years ago that she would be put on a track to eventually run for President. I would have never guessed it would've been as soon as 2020.

By Doing well in SanFrancisco, means she is out of touch with a majority of people who don't live in SanFrancisco. Just 2 days ago she was a co-sponser of Crazy Bernie's single-payer Medicare takeover.(32 Trillon) and she is quoted that Trump's Wall would be the grossest misuse of tax-payer funds. Her mother was a real Indian (sub-continent) and her father a Black professor so she plays as an agate of Hillary,J.Warren, and M.Obama.

The wall is a waste of money and pointless until we address the underlying causes of the illegal immigration problem.   Also, with the problems associated with our current healthcare system, don't see how we can avoid single payer system.  Interesting to me was how Clinton apparently convinced Obama that the single payer system was not feasible.

Having said that, generally agree that a SF politician would be out of touch w rest of country (sanctuary state)

Anyone politician is going to be out of touch with the country at large outside of their district, state, ect. Give her time in the senate. The fact that her name is getting kicked around for the democratic nomination for 2020 speaks to the sad state of that party. I was thinking 2028. Maybe 2024.

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is leading former Vice President Joe Biden in a hypothetical matchup of the 2020 New Hampshire Democratic primary, according to a new survey.

According to the University of New Hampshire's survey the Granite State Poll found.

The respondents were provided a list of potential candidates and revealed............ 31 % support for the self-described socialist  Sanders compared to 24 % for Biden and 13 %  for Warren.

No wonder the DNC is purging Bernie Sanders supporter's from the Committee.......https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/356176-longtime-dnc-officials-ousted-in-shakeup

Maybe it's because Sen. Bernie Sanders never actually joined the Democratic Party.
