No evidence supports ridiculous conspiracy theory that CNN and other medias are promoting mass shootings.    According to University of Alabama study, there are more plausible reasons why United States has been the top country in mass shootings for decades.

High rate of gun ownership.  Obsession with fame.  Mental illness.  Dark side of exceptionalism culture which values individual selfishness over group interests.

Hyperbole much? More divided than ever? Even when slavery/Jim Crow was legal? I don't know, that just seems slightly more divisive than anything in recent memory, Bush's, Clinton and Reagan included.

The nation has been said to be declining under every President since Reagan and yet I don't see any mass exodus out of America.

No evidence Jefferson said that according to Thomas Jefferson foundation.  Bogus purpose of second amendment is overrated and outdated as a restraint against tyranny.  Actually, division of powers have proven to be more effective in making bad policies harder to implement.  Besides, assassinations of Lincoln and Kennedy have been tragic instead of beneficial.

Yeah, ummm, assassinations aren't exactly what we're talking about here. We're talking about protecting ourselves from what has happened to countries like Cuba, Germany, Venezuela, Iraq, Italy, China, North Korea, USSR etc etc etc

    Really? This is your rationalization?

How many of those listed countries have the same governmental makeup as what we do??

Better not try and promote this POV, it is pretty sketchy..

    Great Britain

    Can't forget that one

Imagine if the Patriots didn't have any guns to fight with? After we won independence, we created the constitution, not even two years later the 2nd amendment was added.

"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

    Pretty sketchy? Ummmmm, no.

But hey, wallstreetcappers says guns aren't necessary for the security of a free state. Let's just scrap the constitution and go on his word.

And yet another tragedy, considered extraordinary in any other country in the world, slips by without anyone even trying to do anything about it. I wonder how long the “it’s all Obama’s fault” argument will be considered acceptable actions

Seems odd to me that you create political threads and weigh in regularly but with no actual argument. Or maybe you were being droll. Either way it shows that you have no case.

And people will keep dying in their thousands while you hang onto your guns thinking they’re protecting you against a hypothetical threat......

No real argument? Did you read 32, 30, and 18? What more do you want? That's the argument. We have the right to protect ourselves from others, the right to protect our property and the right to protect ourselves against a tyrannical government.

No what you gave was hyperbole. But we could go with your take on it and say that the last 8 years being more divisive than slavery or Jim Crow. Hell, let's bring back slavery! I wouldn't mind buying you as my slave. That would be a lot of fun....for me.

Explain why the richest people are the only ones that are free.

I'd love to laugh at your reasoning.

You have me on that one....I guess I'll have to concede. The practices of Jim Crow laws enacted by Democratic-dominated state legislatures in the South was more divisive......

Let's look at the fact...domestic abuser court marshalled OUT of the AF, crazy man by his own actions,,still allowed to purchase firearms despite being CONVICTED of these felonious acts...THE Government failed...Even I know the hard way..being accused and then, CONVICTED of any DOMESTIC violence (which I wasn't but EVIL woman do lie in Court....yes, OMG, people TOTALLY DO LIE on the stand ) ONE should NEVER be allowed to OWN or PURCHASE any firearm    Once one shows that much anger, the last thing they need access to is ANY gun......

    So what's the SOLUTION???/

I'll post mine after reading  others

He was only allowed because the Air Force made a mistake. No legislation would have prevented the mistake from happening.
