This is not the first time the president has pressured Georgia officials to alter the results of the state's election.
On Dec. 5, Trump urged Gov. Brian Kemp to demand the state Legislature act to overturn Biden's victory in Georgia. Kemp refused and has been subjected to a steady barrage of Trump attacks in the weeks since.

REPUBLICAN Secretary of State says a DA probe of Trump phone call would be 'appropriate'
Georgia's REPUBLICAN Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said it would be "appropriate" for the Fulton County district attorney to investigate President Donald Trump's request that he "find" enough votes to make trump the winnerof the state's presidential election, which he lost to President-elect Joe Biden by nearly 12,000 votes.
On Sunday, The Washington Post released a recording of the hourlong conversation Trump had the day before with Raffensperger. In the call, Trump repeats several previously debunked claims of voter fraud to argue why Raffensperger should "recalculate" the vote total, which was certified after both manual and machine recounts.

Senate Republican, Pat Toomey, calls trump phone call a "new low"
“President Trump’s call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger represents a new low in this whole futile and sorry episode. I commend Republican election officials across the country who have discharged their duties with integrity over the past two months while weathering relentless pressure, disinformation, and attacks from trump and his campaign.”

In audio first reported by The Washington Post and obtained by CNN, Trump is heard pressuring Raffensperger, who is also a Republican, to "find" votes to overturn the election in Georgia, which he lost to President-elect Joe Biden. Raffensperger rebuffed Trump's demand.
