    NEW GALLUP POLL:
    More Americans Identify As Democrats
    As Republican Party Sheds Voters

A new Gallup poll shows Democrats hold their largest advantage over Republicans
    in nearly a decade.
Under President Joe Biden’s leadership the economy is on the path to recovery,
and more Americans are getting vaccinated, seeing money in their pockets, and
returning to normalcy – an incredibly popular and bipartisan agenda.

    Gallup

routinely measures U.S. adults' party identification and the political leanings of independents.

In the first quarter, 30% of Americans identified as Democrats and
19% were Democratic-leaning independents, (ie, 49% total) while only
25% were Republican identifiers and 15% Republican-leaning independents (ie, 40% total)

The remaining 11% were independents with no partisan leanings.

    That nine-percentage-point Democratic advantage is
the largest Gallup has measured since the fourth quarter of 2012. an_light

I love polls especially Rachael Maddows Polls, she missed on all 17.  How come I never get to vote in these polls?

Democrats have won the popular vote in 7 of the last 8 presidential elections.  When desperate people cannot win ethically, they resort to cheating.  So mainly republicans have lead the way in gerrymandering, voter suppression bills and lying to voters in election campaigns.

Lying to voters during an election campaign?

When Obama said he was going to end 2 wars and then ended 0 wars and went on to start more wars... would you consider that “lying to voters in election campaigns”?

Show me examples of gerrymandering and voter suppression bills. I’d like to look over these horrific actions.

    That nine-percentage-point Democratic advantage is
the largest Gallup has measured since the fourth quarter of 2012. an_light

the report noted that democrat support is usually about 4 to 5 percentage pts higher than for repos but this 9 pt edge is beyond the margin for error and is statistically relevent .  the shift is in the independents who used to lean repo now have swung toward a good administration

Absolutely!  This is a significant swing from December.

Perhaps trump's incitment domestic terrorism against Congress and his own VP has something to do with it too.

CRT the new bogeyman for racists?

But according to scholars who study it, Critical Race Theory,
explores the ways in which the history of inequality and racism,
in the United States, has continued to impact American society today.

CRT is not actually taught in K-12 schools, only in law school and college.
"But culture warriors are labeling *any* discussion of race, racism or discrimination
as CRT -- to try to make it toxic.  They are bullying teachers and trying to
stop us from teaching students accurate history," the union president said.

The Only Important Poll will be how many GOP seats are gained next November..so far, Bidens Presidency has been a Total Clown show...

Gas Prices alone are up 70%, Don't think most all Americans are seeing what's going on..An absolute disaster..and I haven't even mentioned what a foreign policy fiasco this administration is overseeing..

    @Crusher13

One might say that insulting other members of NATO, or trying to buy pieces of Denmark, or kissing Putin's ass, or mugging it up for the camera with the North Korean dictator.....one might describe that as a foreign policy fiasco.

    Just sayin!

trumpinator has been BANNED from Covers (though he will reappear in new alias)

    as has

circus_bettor been BANNED as well (though he too will reappear in a new alias)

    Meanwhile,

    The "BIG LIE"

    Reported on CNN
Arizona's Voter Registration Data shows, that since
the trump-incited insurrection - which trump insists was peaceful -
a whopping -17,467 registered republicans have QUIT the party!

(Meanwhile Dems in AZ lost only -2,445)

Kirk Adams (R) who is former Chief of Staff to AZ GOP Governor,
is concerned that trump's "BIG LIE" is turning off Republican voters.
"The truth is, if you don't believe the system is honest and works,

One might expect some attrition, sure, but that goes waaaaaay beyonfd the norms.

Have to wonder why republicans are leaving their party.

Meanwhile an earlier survey posted in this forum 2 months ago found an alarming NET MIGRATION of voters switching from leaning-right to leaning -left.

    The "BIG LIE"
backfiring on GOP in key states?

    Reported on CNN
Arizona's Voter Registration Data shows, that since
the trump-incited insurrection - which trump insists was peaceful -
a whopping -17,467 registered republicans have QUIT the party! an_light

(Meanwhile Dems in AZ lost only -2,445)

    wow    an_roll_laugh

One might expect some attrition, sure, but that goes waaaaaay beyonfd the norms.

Have to wonder why republicans are leaving their party.

Meanwhile an earlier survey posted in this forum 2 months ago found an alarming NET MIGRATION of voters switching from leaning-right to leaning -left.
