According to the peoples champ, there is a ton of treasonous comments posted daily here based on all the President bashing...in many countries this type of behaviour would be "snuffed out" quietly and quickly...love him or hate it, he represents a leader of a country where you take your freedom and liberties for granted....show respect for the office he holds, if not for the arse that sits in the big chair.

No one is saying to respect the man, but to respect the title he currently holds is vital to how the world sees America...history will be the ultimate judge of his tenure, but there will always need to be a clear demarcation between trump the man/personality/cult figure vs trump the president...and as far as president goes, he hasnt effed up any more or less than any of his predecessors yet, and many would argue hes done far more with zero experience as a politician in his first 2 years in office than anyone else in recent times.
I think hes the global entertainer of the decade so far hands done, but what did we all really expect from the guy?

He may be the global entertainer of the year, but he's a bad actor & its obvious he's in Putin's pocket. All anyone needs to do is look at all he's done & said himself from the start of his campaign. No US potus has ever got on a world stage & sided with a leader of a foreign adversary over our own intel community. Much less declared that a suggestion from that leader to have our own respected public servants sent over to Russia to be questioned & interrogated was a tremendous offer. That in itself is a dereliction of constitutional duty & worthy of the comments made about being treasonous.
Americans need to wake up & smell the burning embers. This is dangerous & far beyond just the left/right divide or personally disliking Trump or not. Mueller Time cannot come soon enough but as a true patriot (unlike Trump), he will make sure to nail down as strong of an iron clad case/s as possible for the benefit of all citizens. Who knows what all might be involved, but gun to the head, I'd guess the hold on Trump is almost purely financial though the could have a sex tape as well. Looks like Russia has likely infiltrated the GOP as well thru the NRA & other means. Maybe as a way to funnel millions to the Trump campaign? Other elements would likely include money laundering & Russia's debt financing with the ability to crush his fake empire by pulling out the support that Trump's house of smoke/mirrors is built on.

When he respects the office and all those around him, when he stops acting like a child and bashing others, when he lives up to the loud mouth promises and the decades of political bashing he did...then begin talking about respect for him.
You cannot crap all over people as he does and expect them to respect you just because you have a title and position, it does not work that way.

Hard to have any respect for a chronic liar who doesn't have any respect for the office or our democracy itself.
But hey, let's have a murderous autocratic (who has attacked one of the most critical cornerstones of our democracy & continues to do so though Trump disputed it) adversary over for a lovely fall visit & roll out the red carpet. I dont think ive ever said here that Trump deserves to he respected...i only maintain that the office he holds deserves respect...by all of shit being hurled at him is infact shitting on the symbol of the president of the united states itself...which in turn goes to directly undermine the strength and position of power it has been accustomed to holding....by continuing all this dump trump rhetoric every passing week, it only goes to weaken your standing as a global powerhouse in the eyes of everyone else...as hard as it may seem, your best course of action is to collectively raise Trump up with the training wheels he needs, make it thru the next 6 yrs and then try your best as a nation to recover and repair the damage he will have left behind
