Can you guys give me a hand and let me know what your book is showing as the current line for Obama v. Romney? Mine is Obama -205 and Romney +165, wondering if I am getting good lines, bad lines, etc.

If you could list the book offering as well I'd be greatly appreciative.

pretty sure 5d had -185/+165 a couple of days ago. It is usually only posted very early in the morning (for whatever reason) and it is not posted now. Good luck Kap

dj, when are the odds going to get near -150 for obama during the RNC?  during the ceremonial (not closet) gay stoning or the paul ryan "rape is just another form of conception" demonstration?

sorry, that's just my introduction to an answer to kapono.

i've been watching pinnacle.  obama was -192 or so earlier.  now it's -169.

From past history, the odds will be lowest a couple of days after Romeny's speech or the speech of the most popular Republican. I think it is more about media coverage than anything said so it takes a couple of days to filter.

I will be looking at placing my Obama wager to offset my Romney future by sometime this weekend.

DO NOT bet the candidate.  Bet THE PARTY.  If the candidate gets whacked then so does your wager.

Smart money is on the underdog...more value on the underdog when you consider the favorite has a lousy presidential record, I mean the economy is in shambles and no way the American people gives the favorite a 2nd term.

Put me down for a thousand on the dog!...rroff!...rroff!

I am seriously considering a significant, heavy, largest play of my gambling lifetime on Obama.

Also, for GG and DJ, the book I use offers parties, not candidates. I just listed the candidates for some reason instead of the parties.

Is that year up that you decided you would take off from gambling?

If you can get a good juiced play on Obama a bit lower than -200 than I'd see it being a very smart wager

I am also considering a heavy play on the Dems retaining the White House.  The Electoral Vote does not look good right now for Romney.  He has to upset Obama in too many Swing States.  The EV mathematics just don't add up to a Republican victory.  It's still early though, as we have the debates yet to come and Romney will outspend Obama down the stretch.  Dems could pull a "wag the dog" in the Middle East or some other National Crisis to favor the incumbent.
