President Trump’s signature to mark 100 dollar bills !

The way I read it is Trump will not be a third signature, but will replace the Treasurer. I guess SCOTUS would find a way to say this is legal! November is going to be so enjoyable

 Yeah.  I heard this.  I get a symbolic gesture or some sort of redesign for the 250th anniversary.

But I do not like this signature replacement. I am not even sure this is 'totally' legal.

There are enough other ways to do a 'legacy' thing if that's what they wanted to achieve.

I am just old-school about currency, stamps, memorial names, etc. I guess.

 You think the COURT would deny him this ? He would have them take a one way tour of the Super Max in Colorado! That would pop a gasket for sure!

Trump is spotlighter, which is just a slight upgrade from a highlighter.....

This will not pass and his signature will be nowhere on currency unless sold in an infomercial at 3 am in connection to someone's next shamwow purchase

I kind of do and hope so.

I think the 'laws' that govern this are set by Congress.  The Treasury has latitude with design and that sort of thing I think.  I think the signatures have been specified this way before.

I also think it blurs the the 'executive' branch and the national symbols, etc.

I do not know as much as I should about this, legally, etc.

It just does not sit well with me.  This looks like the way other countries do it and I do not like that part of it.

Every time a new President comes in office are they going to do this and change the names of everything also.

I do not even like the way other countries do this with royalty, etc.  But that has long been their standard.

I have no idea who came up with the idea and why.  I have not really looked into what brought this on.

I only know they are always looking into new designs to hinder counterfeiting.  So, I imagine they were looking at something for the 250th.  Sort of like they do with change from time to time.  

But a living person, and a sitting President -- I just do not like it.

But to be fair, I have no idea how much Trump was even involved with this.  I know he likes his name on everything.  So, when someone suggested it, I am sure he was not going to say no to it.

Maybe it is a one-time thing just for the current printing for this one year.  

I guess I could be okay with that because it is such a great anniversary for the country and he is President for the anniversary year.

But it sets a very bad precedent to me.

Clown show example number 100 as there are so many of his ridiculous LOOK AT ME examples I have lost count. Trump continues to confirm that his main concern for his actions, words and deeds are to his singular objectives and his brand the name his pathetic shallow ego must be elevated since he has no sense of understanding about leadership or setting an example.

It will be hilarious when this crap show is over and the next guy/gal hopefully implodes the numerous grandstanding embarrassments that Trump shoved down our throats and we can return to what existed before this abomination got in power.

You mean another politician and not an individual whose fame was that of a business person...so essentially, back to the ho hum politicians who have proven are also not very great people or looking out for the American people....

Republicans and International leaders around the world fully understand that Trump is his happiest when is a public event to be allowed to “the corpse at every funeral, the bride at every wedding and the baby at every christening!” Which was a statement made by Theodore Roosevelts daughter Alice! Trump never misses a chance to hijack others moment of attention! There are numerous accounts of him interrupting a answering world leaders mid sentence! 

You know the answer from the past and any in the future.....

 Oh Trump is a massive fraud and a liar that is for sure a fact and lots of politicians are deceptive and disgusting, this is about Trump forcing his stupid name and face and image and brand all over the government and there has not been a LIVING president in my lifetime that has acted in such an elitist and insulting way. He has changed multiple names of items he has inserted his image into multiple items and there is no purpose for doing this except to give himself more power, control and publicity.

Reminds me of communist and fascist countries where the leader is all over the currency and all over the landscape of the country. You know he is fascist the currency abhorrence is just some sprinkles on the crap cake he has created in such a short period of time.
