I get your point, Slim.  The Republican Party has acquiesced to Trump and so embracing Trump and supporting him is necessary, at least in primaries.  However, let's stick with Utah.  You alluded to Evan running there.  Trump already had a problem with sounding offensive and crass back in 2016.  They aren't fans of Democrats in Utah so despite their misgivings with Trump, it was always tough sledding.  My point is that Trump hasn't sounded presidential since that time and some of his antics have likely turned off swing voters.  That's why Love lost and is probably why she kept his distance from Trump.  That's just my interpretation.  You have to understand I prefer for Republicans to do Trump's bidding and for the Senate to protect him.  I believe that's absolutely the worst thing they can do going into 2020.

I prefer Senate candidates who don't make jokes about the lynching of their opponents. I also like candidates that are pro-democracy.

Democrat TJ Cox pulls almost 400 votes ahead of David Valadao (GOP) in California House 21, the steamroll keeps tumbling down on top GOP in U.S. House race.

That's not exactly a Blue wave.....it still leaves Republicans in secure control over 2.5 out of three branches of government...and they still hold the majority of governorships........you can not surf on that wave..too small.

It's a move in the right direction for the country. 8 million more people voted Democratic rather than Republican during the mid-term.

 the region that was won was the suburbs.  The republicans lost the districts that make their side of this debate relevant. Picking up two seats with so many democratic encumbamts up for re election is not a win it is a huge loss. In 2020 the number of incumbent Republicans up for re election is a lot greater than 6 . And now with no more platform with any resemblance of the GOP 20 years ago their majority is going to quickly evaporate.  

Having nothing to show for the last two years but a huge tax cut for the most wealthiest citizens is not going to bode well and the meetoo along with we will remember in November I bet house Senate and presidency as well of the governorships clearly the Democrats have more work to do  ut it is very attainable
