Open borders vs. Closed borders

I am trying to figure out why the liberals want unregulated open borders,where anyone, from any country in the world once they get here to America can stay and become citizens.

Wouldn't be better to close the borders and only allow into the country better persons that would benefit those already here and fit in..

There are like 5 billion third worlders out there in this huge cosmos of ours with no money or education.

How many more do the liberals think we can handle?, or have they not thought about it?

US had an open border for much of history. Now US has open borders between States and closed borders with Canada and Mexico. Under Obama, border security and deportation of illegal immigrants have been at the highest levels in history.

Other countries have more closed borders because of military conflicts. However US is lucky to have peaceful neighbours in North and South America. Also economic integration agreements help to enhance movement of people and goods.

It doesn't look like Hillary mentioned open borders in terms of immigration. The statement was taken out of context. Here's the quote in its entirety.

“My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders, some time in the future with energy that is as green and sustainable as we can get it, powering growth and opportunity for every person in the hemisphere.”

The statement is still a bit vague nonetheless.

I saw the whole statement by Hillary and when she talks about Free Trade AND Open Borders and Green Energy she isn't talking in Code.

Open borders mean 1 thing in this Hemisphere and I resent the Progressive Spin when Hillary is caught in her Globalist propaganda.

Why do the Dems want open borders? Every Jesus/Maria from the tip of Terra-Del Feugo that head North to get their Rightful piece of the American Dream will remember that the Dems were the ones to welcome them to the Land of food-stamps and Healthcare when they vote on X-mas Day (election day) Also the Dems NEED a permanent Under-class and some Negros are catching on to the scam and getting a little uppity to their Progressive Masters.

Seems to me most ( if not all) prior immigrants came to the USA under Legal conditions and proper circumstances.

A wall keeps out ILLEGALS and criminals.

for any trump supporters who haven't filled up on irrational fear and stupid garbage, looks like clinton is going to let in 650,000,000 in a week. apparently, they are all hiding in the mexican desert, ready to come over.

for reference, the entire US population is about half of that but don't let a tiny detail like that get in the way of your irrational fear.

I'm confused. The OP keeps saying open borders. Do the liberals want to eliminate border patrol and checkpoints? I cannot find a link to this, but if he says it, it must be true

I think John Lennon started the movement some twenty or thirty years ago......A world with no borders..

Hitlery has stated that is her dream as well in a number of speeches.

She also has made 100% clear that, if elected, she would give amnesty to all illegals currently in the country in her first 100 days in office.

That is why there is such a heavy surge at the Southern border..

Thank you for your response. I went back and looked at her speeches and cannot find one where she said she wanted to eliminate checkpoints and border patrol.

Do you happen to have a link to one? I am very concerned now.
