Be easy, you want to bet me a dime that foreclosures will be up 6 months from now. Yet your proviso is that there be no more government " b-s***" involved. You again prove my point about Neo-Cons, they fail to read and grasp obvious fact in favor of stale ,passe ideology. My whole premise that foreclosures will be down in 6 months is that there will be more government involvement in trying to prevent them. If I wanted to agree with the rest of your free market oligarchs there would be no dispute about a future increase in foreclosures, due to a do nothing philosophy favored by the Neo-Cons.
Please , I would be happy to wager with you. But your condition is I cant win if there is more government participation in this endeavor, I am betting against myself. Now if you want to bet that there will be more foreclosures in 6 months if the Feds do nothing and leave it to your beloved free market system I would agree with you. But it is obvious, even to the Walter Mitty's of the world that Obama will at least try to not let that happen.

why do people continue to believe that government can fix this when they caused all of it? ignorance, blind faith, need, and the fear of responsibilty

Down from record filings going on now maybe, but down year over year, no way... we haven't even started dealing with the personal credit issues that are about to affect and extend the mortgage issue as people start messing up their (outside of mortgage credit).
ANY lender/broker who is facilitating a home loan to someone who puts down less than 10% during this climate should be lined up with the Wall Street crooks like Madoff as they fall into the same category.

Bush / Congress made economy much worse
Obama / Congress making Bush / Congress look like small potatoes. One guys helps to really mess things up, next guy sent in to replace him makes it many times worse.
Why are you still focusing on the first guy (who can no longer do anything about it) when the new guy (who can do something) is making things so much worse???
