In every department there is an actual lieutenant in the dispatch room at all times to make police decisions, when the dispatchers themselves arent  police officers. Even when the dispatchers are police officers, a lieutenant is always there.
Really kid stick to what you know, which isnt to much.

and for the dummy that doesnt know, but it is the cops job to decide if an arrest should take place, its the DA'S job to decide if the arrest should be prosecuted or dropped. Learn how are legal system works.

The DA can do their own investigations and get an indictment for a crime, at that time the police will make the arrest.

You better learn the law in our country pal, because you really arent as smart as you keep telling us you are.
When the cops showed up at that scene, it was their call to decide if a crime had been done and if somebody should be arrested or not.
After that the DA can either agree with the police that no crime took place or they can say that a crime took place.

You can try spinning this any way you want to, but the cops had the first call to arrest zimmerman or not.

And here I thought it was the police chief! Yes, you can be arrested for something by the police, though usually not homocide unless the prosecutor is ready for you at arraignment.

The DA can do their own investigations and get an indictment for a crime, at that time the police will make the arrest.

Right, which was my point. The Police Chief isn't really determining whether or not you'll be arrested.

You can keep trying to twist this in all directions, but the police when showing up to a crime have the power to arrest or not arrest. Its then up to the DAS office to decide if the arrest should go further or not.

In fact just last month a state senator from buffalo got into a fight in a casino, in which his wife got hurt. The police didnt make any arrests of the senator or the persons he was in a fight with. The police spent the next week doing their investigation and decided no arrests needed to happen and nothing needed to be passed down to the DA'S office. It was their call on the arrest, just like it was their call with this zimmerman kid.

In your mind, "police chiefs" just sit in their offices and direct the arrest of citizens and prosecutors come along after the arrest and decide whether or not you'll be taken up on charges.

How do I know these things? I don’t know maybe because my best friend is a retired police lieutenant and has worked for 4 different departments of law enforcement. Everything decided does not happen with out the police chief approval. The lieutenant is a puppet of the police chief.

Everything is handled in house behind closed doors before anything is ever done. The prosecutor is never told to do anything with out the police chief being aware of the situation. After all the police work is done. Then the prosecutor is made aware of the situation.  

If you choose to prosecute, the cases without the chief’s approval consider yourself fired. On top of that, the kid’s father was a retired judge and if you think the judge didn’t have a chat with the police chief you’re crazy.

I hate to tell you this , but if you murder somebody and the cops show up and you are the guy, they will arrest you and charge you with murder. I know whenever I’m stalking a perceived threat wearing a hoodie I keep my gun hidden so when something happens it takes me time to pull my weapon.

This shit is crazy? It’s a puzzle dumbass. A man calls 911, says there’s a person, 911 says a cop is on the way, don’t pursue, disregards the order, approaches the kid in a hoodie, points the weapon, kid feels threatened, a fight happens, a person is killed, police arrive on scene, officers are told how to proceed by the chief, guy claims self defense, uses stand your ground law, is the son of a judge, the chief makes a decision, zimmerman is released, and chief steps down.

Before a felony arrest warrant is issued, procedure calls for the district/state attorney, a police officer and/or the alleged victim to make a sworn statement that the accused person committed a crime.

Thats what you wrote meathead, not me. That whole entire post is wrong.; Cops make arrests for those crimes everyday with consulting with the DA'S office.

This is why the police and DA'S office are separate offices with entirely differnt duties.
