The IBDC-TIPP Presidential Election Tracking Poll, described as the “most accurate poll in recent presidential elections,” on Wednesday had Donald Trump leading Hillary Clinton by one point, 41 percent to 40 percent.

But a variety of other polls showed wildly disparate results, including one from the left-leaning Bloomberg that indicated Clinton was ahead by nine points.

The survey by Investor’s Business Daily and TechnoMetric Market Intelligence had Trump at 41.3 percent to Clinton’s 40 percent nationally and leading across the Midwest and South.

It also found 67 percent of Trump supporters are “strong” in their support, while Clinton has that level from only 58 percent.

The survey questioned 788 likely voters, with a margin of error of 3.3 percentage points.

The USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times “Daybreak” poll put the candidates even closer, with 44.1 percent for Trump and 43.9 percent for Clinton.

It tracks some 3,000 eligible voters until election day, asking on a regular basis about their support for Clinton, Trump or other candidates as well as their likelihood of actually casting a ballot.

At Rasmussen, the raced was described with two words, “Dead even.”

“Today’s Rasmussen Reports White House Watch telephone and online survey shows Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump each picking up 42 percent support among Likely U.S. Voters. Seven percent still prefer Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson, while one percent opt for Green Party nominee Jill Stein.

Rasmussen found 3 percent like some other candidate and 6 percent are undecided.

The poll showed Trump had gained a point since the previous survey.

The Rasmussen poll is based on a three-day rolling average of 1,500 likely U.S. voters.

“Most voters aren’t buying the story that the Russians are trying to manipulate the election for Trump but think the U.S. media is trying to swing things for Clinton,” the pollster said.

“Trump views radical Islamic terrorism as the number one threat to the United States and says Russia would make a good ally in fighting that threat. Republicans and Trump supporters strongly agree that radical Islam is the bigger threat, but Democrats and Clinton voters tend to rate Russia as just as big a danger.”

At Real Clear Politics, the Bloomberg result was listed. It has Clinton up nine.

Others were the Economist/YouGov and ReutersIpsos, which both had Clinton up four.

The results came as Trump and Clinton prepared for their third and final presidential election debate, Wednesday night in Las Vegas.

we just seen what a 2 term criminal in obama can do. You would have to really hate America to vote for hillary and want more of the same. When you have a gov that hates the country, it's never going to end well.

In the 2012 race, polling analyst Nate Silver, ( used in this forum as the one in the know) ranked 23 presidential polling organizations using his own methodology and called IBD/TIPP "the most accurate" tracking poll for the year....

...........and in 2004 and 2008, IBD/TIPP had the smallest deviation from the certified results, and across the last three presidential races, IBD/TIPP has the lowest average divergence.

Is it possible that Zelo is telling bettors to pound Trump at 4-1? Is that the play for this election?

Not sure.   It just seems like he is invested in trying to create a fantasy that this is a 50/50 bet the actual betting odds based on reality are telling us something much different.

The fact that zelo himself dmcanr even answer questions about his own thread is telling

On the front page of Covers, they state that the Cleveland Indians were 10/1 before the playoffs to win the AL pennant.

The day of the Brexit vote, books were hanging a 6/1 number on a "leave" vote.

Odds are a reflection of public perception, similar to the market prices of commodities. With this media, how is it possible for the lion share of market participants to not see this election as a lock for Clinton?

I'm not a fan of either of these candidates and won't vote for either, but seriously you believe that this election is still up in the air?

Trump is the one that that brought up Temperment in the first debate. Let's not credit Hillary or her camp running a successful strategy when it is trump pulling out his gun and blasting himself in the foot repeatedly.

The problem is he talked Temperment but then in each debate became unglued and ended up showing to the entire world that he does not have the Temperment to be president.   This was a poor choice of strategy by trump not some media conspiracy or genius ploy by Hillary.

A presidential debate and a business deal are two completely different things in that Deceptive Donald not just standing up like a man and making a clear difinitive statement about him following the longnstanding American tradition and accepting the results of the election and just saying he will be a good American costed him big time.

No media spin, no democrat ploy.  Trump was given a cupcake question where all he had to do when asked if he would accept the results is say "yes" and stop talking.  And he failed to do that bigtime.

    As per the blog 538.

Trump leads Hillary among men by 11%

Hillary leads Trump among women by 33%.

Doing the math assuming women are 53% of the voters than the final vote will be 56.1% for Hillary and 43.9% for Trump. That is a landslide. I doubt that Hillary will win by that much but I would estimate trump gets trounced by about 10%.

The election is all but over.

Nate Silver the master poll interpreter must have changed his statistical analysis model and the math he uses from last year ..when he put the chance of Donald Trump actually getting the GOP nomination and put it around 5 %..

But then,he does have an impressive record of predicting which way states go...
