Four years ago, a weekend Mr. Obama spent in South Florida cost taxpayers $3.6 million. The Pentagon spent about $2.8 million for Air Force One plus support aircraft and military personnel. The Secret Service and the Coast Guard added nearly $800,000. 

During his eight years in office, Mr. Obama racked up about $97 million in travel costs. Mr. Trump is on pace to eclipse that by the end of his first year. 

Another cost of keeping Mr. Trump safe? Disruptions to businesses near Mar-a-Lago. The airspace around Lantana Airport in Palm Beach County is restricted whenever the president is in town. On an average day, there are around 300 takeoffs and landings. But when the president is there, nothing’s moving — except the bottom line for businesses that operate out of this airport. They say they lose about $30,000 each weekend they’re closed.

the sum in mattbrots thesis is derived for the bill Trump Plaza has billed the USA government by Donnie junior and Eric Trump. poor taste yes, but it was for accommodations of the security teams for the President and abe. , and the presidents secret service protection for all of the trumps immediate relatives,

Thats the dumbest thing I ever heard.  The hypocrisy was calling out Obama over and over.  Then now that Trumps is 12 x more per year pro rated -  your saying its OK because his family is larger???   The blind allegiance to this con man is comical.  Brand loyalty to a fault.   Us on the outside are watching zombie night following a toddler who cant handle anythign not his way.  Wake up man.

 This man gets it. Everybody else who posted in this thread, other than me, is missing the point and is wrong. The original post I made in this innovative ground breaking thread was about hypocrisy.

A good argument can be made in support of and against the spending and if it is justified. It just depends on your stance. 

The point is about the absolute hypocrisy of the inferior Trump supporters. It is so evident in this thread. Attempts to justify his golf despite the wide spread criticism of obama (and trump saying himself that he would be too busy working as president to play golf). The criticism of Obamas spending despite Trump spending much more (as of currently). 

It is astonishing

maybe in a super secret creative sort of way,
Trump is not playing golf for the integrity of the game,
maybe he uses golf in a way to establish contacts, discuss ideas, improve relations.

like G.H.W Bush with his bass boat. He took Putin fishing maybe not to catch a striper but as way that the two sides could discuss in a pretense of fishing, a way their countries could reach terms in other matters.
