Mattis is stepping down after the president on Wednesday ordered that the U.S. withdraw its troop presence in Syria....and war-hawk Nancy Pelosi also opposes the move..She wants troops to stay longer and allow more American lives to be lost in a battle we should not have been in ,,in the first place..

I guess, if both of them oppose getting out of Syria they will really oppose President Trump's plan to start the reduction of American forces in Afghanistan.

More than 7,000 American troops will begin to return home from Afghanistan in the coming weeks...The move will come as the first stage of a phased drawdown and the start of a conclusion to the 17-year war ..

Instead of Pelosi calling for U.S. military presence in Syria she should first be calling for Congress to formally authorize it.

In 2014 this same Nancy PelosI backed legislation that authorized President Obama to train and equip Syrian rebels against Islamic terrorist groups ..saying at the time that the legislation does not authorize the use of U.S. combat forces in the region ..

Democrats, Pelosi said,she doesn't support any use of American troops in Syria ...

Bush began at noon EST on January 20, 2001..The war  in Afghanistan started on  7th October 2001..So&#xD;&#xA; the war in Afghanistan was for GWBush&#x27;s presidency minus form Jan 20th &#xD;&#xA;2001 till Oct 7th 2001..total of about 8 months ..So the Afghanistan war&#xD;&#xA; was going on for all but 8 months give or take  of Bush&#x27;s term Under Obama America was at war in Afghanistan for the full 8 years of his presidency...thus during Obama&#x27;s  presidency we have been at war longer that any other American president...including GWBush..

Clinton slowed down the military but really we havent left the region since RR and this facade of exiting Syria does not mean anything, we are still in the region and will keep staying in the region likely forever.
