Judiciary Committee impeachment hearings presided over by Jerrold Nadler.. who opposed the Clinton impeachment in 1998 ..

Judiciary will begin with at least one day of hearings, on December 4, outlining the constitutional grounds for impeachment, which will aim at explaining such terms of art as “high crimes and misdemeanors.”

There are 41 members of the Judiciary Committee, compared with only 23 members of the Intelligence Committee. So the hearings will be longer even if Nadler sticks to one round of questioning per witness.

The final phase of this hearing would be the consideration of articles themselves before the panel sends them to the House floor.

Two of the most combative Intelligence Committee Republicans, Jim Jordan and John Ratcliffe, are also on Judiciary and will get to keep up their barrage of questions toward Democrats witnesses..along with the addition of attorney and former judge.. Texas Senator Louie Gohmert.

Each day of the hearings, then, will be long and exhausting. The overall timetable is reasonably clear: to consider and report articles of impeachment with time enough for the full House to debate and enact them before Christmas. That is a very narrow three-week window..Congress goes on Christmas break on the 13th..

I don&#x27;t think the Dems have the votes for impeachment. The Dems try Russian collusion, obstruction of justice, 25th amendment, the Mueller Report and now bribery to possibly include quid pro quo. They are a bunch of losers and cry babies over their stunning defeat to President Trump in November of 2016. Jerry Nadler should provide the American public a true identity of the criminal Left beginning Wednesday, 4 December 2019. I would be ashamed to admit to anybody including a pet dog or cat that I am a member of the Democratic party. Good luck taking out President Trump.

Correct slim they didn&#x27;t witness any of his dealings about the Ukraine but then this "phase" is about the charges of impeachment. Testimony was given in the 1st "phase" and the legal witnesses will determine if the testimony warrants any charges of"high crimes and misdemeanors" such as obstruction, campaign finance law violations or emolument violations which are all considered "high crimes and misdemeanors" . . You should really try to follow along .

By the way slim, Quid Pro Quo in itself isn't a crime . It only became a crime when trump asked Zelensky a favor to investigate the Bidens.

I know now why liberal Stanford Prof. Pamela Karlan reminds me of Elizabeth Warren...Prof. Karlan donated $1000 to the presidential campaign of Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) in July, according to to Federal Elections Commission (FEC) data.

Karlan gave the Warren for President, Inc. campaign committee two separate $500 donations on July 29, 2019, the FEC reports.
