Why is there farm aid playing on my Tv ? With all the Tariffs being raked in and DOGE’s savings why is it our farmers need aid ? Where’s all these billions Mr Trump and MAGA fans?

Farmers are stressed by Trump tariffs because they cannot sell crops through international markets. For example, China boycott of US soybeans. Disruption to supply chain could be long term if Chinese firms continue to buy from other countries. Currently, number of small business bankruptcies has reached a 5 years high. Don't expect dividend checks from DOGE cost savings and higher tariffs. No way DOGE can save much money or tariffs can generate as much revenue as income tax.

farming is the only industry were farmers can write a losing year(even when its so untrue) on their taxes and never have to worry about any audits. Any other business the IRS would come in and tell you to look for a new business,lolll
Its just that farming losses are so easy to write off and they dont get questioned on it. I knew a guy who grew grapes, sold to welches company and he could write off everything and business would be a loss every year

You know you are dealing with a professional when he asks AI :) - except “fertilizer” and “fuel” you have just described costs - pretty much every physical company on earth faces ! But AI is not smart enough to give you the real answer ! If you are human and smart with tariffs (not asking an AI like US government) you can hit other countries sector specific - which is how it is mostly used world wide - and since a lot of Trumps voters are farmers - those are easy targets for the international community and agriculture is not country specific - you don’t produce anything we can’t buy elsewhere in department - and his immigration policies also hurt farmers ! my post came from a grape farmer. Govt doesnt fuck with farmers because they know the importance of that industry. I just posted what a farmer friend told me. And your right about the hobby thing.
On second thought now, i do remember him saying that he only had to show a profit once in awhile and the other years he could take the losses. This was years ago when he said it to me, so i forgot some details. In fact other friends of his would joke to him and say to him, Mark are the grapes gonna lose money this season before the season ever started lolllllllllllllllll.
