of new co-chair Lara Trump, daughter-in-law of
former President Trump, saying FALSELY, Democrats
committed "massive fraud" in the 2020 election.

Despite no evidence of widespread voting fraud, republicans continue to promote big lie about stolen election for two reasons. First, deflection of blame for election loss by accusing democrats of cheating. Secondly, refusing to admit defeat in election and demonizing democrats is a textbook authoritarian tactic. They want to justify or normalize extreme measures. For examples, suppress voting rights, run fake electors scheme and incite attack on capitol.

for illegal Trump campaign aid

"A federal election watchdog fined the publisher of the National Enquirer $187,500 for squelching the story of a former Playboy model who claimed she’d had a 9-month-long affair with former President Donald Trump.
The Federal Election Commission fined A360 Media, formerly known as American Media, for paying Karen McDougal $150,000 in August 2016, saying the payment was made to keep her story from becoming public before the presidential election.
The FEC said the publisher’s “payment to Karen McDougal to purchase a limited life story (rights) combined with its decision to then not publish the salacious story, in consultation with an agent of Donald J. Trump - and for the purpose of influencing the election - constituted a prohibited corporate in-kind contribution.”
Voting suppression influences outcome of election by discouraging people from voting. Make voting harder such as longer wait time to vote or reduce number of polling places. Reduce early voting and mail mailing. Lack of automatic registration of new voters. Purging of voters list. Ban citizens with past criminal records. Strict voting regulations. Photo identification can disenfranchise voters such as the young, elderly, poor, disabled and recently married women. Misinformation confuse or deceive voters. Deny legitimacy of election. Intimidate voters and election officials. Less use of voting machines. Appoint judges that do not reflect values of current voters. Less regulated campaign spending reduces influence of votes by giving more power to the rich or special interests. Voting suppression is an anti-democratic tactic associated with authoritarianism.

NEW criminal tax evasion complaint filed against Trump

At the center of the criminal complaint newly filed
with the Department of Justice (DOJ) by watchdog
Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW)
is a mysterious $50 million loan that has been listed by
Trump in his disclosures to the court -
which may or may not actually exist!
A "bombshell" report from retired judge Barbara Jones -
who was assigned to monitor Trump and the Trump Org's
finances after the financial fraud trial that ended with
a $355 million fine to Trump - indicates she was baffled
by information being handed over to her, telling the court,
"in recent discussions with the Trump Organization, it
indicated that it has determined that this loan never existed
—and thus that it would be removed from any upcoming
forms submitted to the Office of Government Ethics (OGE).”
But it was listed!
Questions about the loan have never been answered,
which now has led CREW to ask the DOJ to have the FBI step in.
*At this point this is only a complaint requesting investigation.
No charges have been laid, but will be interesting to see what if anything found in an investigation.
