I would reevaluate that assessment on the China/USA relationship and who needs who.

400 million of China’s resident do not have indoor plumbing.

100 million of their resident don’t yet have clean drinking water.

Their GDP is $17.7 trillion for 1.4 billion people.  Meaning the average Chinese worker makes 12 grand a year.

So, they cannot take over American consumerism.  Their people do not have money.  Again, 400 million of their people do not even have indoor plumbing.

They don’t yet have a navy.  For example, just look up ‘Chinese Barge Army’.  Supposedly they are building barges and bridges to invade Taiwan.  They don’t really have a navy, yet.  They don’t have much of an army.  So, militarily they are like 70 years behind the USA.  In 1941, the USA had maybe 9 or 10 aircraft carriers to fight WWII.  They launched their first one in 2012.

30% of their GDP is tied to their domestic real estate, that they have overbuilt.  It has declined 8.5%.  They have empty cities.  They have crumbling infrastructure.  Their bank ratios are so out of balance that if the USA wanted to close all of their banks down — they could.  Their largest real estate developer folded and had to go into bankruptcy.

The USA has not even begun to use the economic levers at their disposal to fight a trade war.  125% tariffs can easily be said to be too soft.

For sure, China is a proud country with a huge ego.  For example, when you go onto their subway system saying, more or less: this is going to be better, you might not eat but we will win.  Letting their people know that they plan to starve them.  Because they are not economically advanced.

They don’t have software developers.  They do not do their own computer development.  Some folks think they are ahead because of Deepseek AI.  Hit they simply do not have the engineers to develop any of it.  That is what they steal roughly $500 billion a year in Intellectual Property from the USA.

So, we export them $100 billion.  They export to the USA $500 billion, plus steal $500 billion in IP.  So, that is about $900 billion trade deficit.

Therefore, this is a trade war that must be won.

But it could be easily won.  Folks don’t even understand the economic levers the USA has within the SWIFT system and what they could do to exert pressure.

This is being nice, folks think it is being mean; it is not.  This is very, very nice.

No sanctions through the SWIFT system; no currency manipulation on the USA side.  The USA is taking it very easy on China.  People think Trump is being hard on them.  But they do not understand what the USA could do.

It is unfortunate that China will lose the trade war. Numerically, they cannot beat the USA.  So, it is unfortunate that a lot of Chinese people are going to get hurt.  I wish that they could get to the negotiating table.  It would nice if the egos were a bit less, because both have the same ‘enemy’.  Neither want the globalists to be in charge.  China fights against it and the USA is against it.  But if China continues this way, it looks. China is not who people think they are and how the media portrays them.  400 million citizens are second-world, 1 billion people are third-world.  They have a few great cities.  But the vast majority of the citizens are bad off.  There is far too much Chinese propaganda.

Another issue is that they took off their one-child policy and had a population explosion.

25% of their 18-25 year-olds are unemployed.

They simply do not have enough jobs for the next generation coming up.  So, it is going to be rough in China economically.

The real estate is crashing, the banks are crashing, they do not have a GDP to support their population.  One ‘saving grace’ is that if 400 million of your folks do not have indoor plumbing, do they even know a trade war is going on.  These are folks that are subsistence-living.
