Crown Royal had enough in Ontario, heading south for the States

Crown Royal provoked the wrath of Doug Ford announced plans to shutter its plant in Ontario and move operations to the US.  

“Crown Royal will continue to be mashed, distilled, and aged in Canada, just as it has been since 1939.”

obviously, a tariffs topic because Crown will still be made in Canada.  The bottled in USA part wont skirt around the tariffs for Diageo, so on a sales standpoint I can understand why this move is to be made.

it frees up the top market in sales with the US, and it gives Canada a great bargaining chip with POTUS as they bring new jobs to the US.

Diageo stands to take another massive hit on the tariffs with Guinness, Johnnie Walker, Gordon’s gin and Smirnoff in the US market.  

The only way to continue to do business with the current administration is to bend at the knee

whether that's right or wrong is a personal opinion but regardless it is the reality of doing business in the USA at this current time

Doug Ford is pissed but he is no different than Trump on this because he is acting just like the orange man here.

Be glad your famous brand doesn't go under because the US market dried up

America makes some dang good Whisky and Bourbon, and I have zero doubt that every proud person north of the border is pissed about this cat fight

my cousin was pissed and still is when the move to Colorado.  No Labatt's!!  only at hockey games.  It's all Coors out there.  I try to send out some Yuengling's once a year but man that's not my problem lol.

even 150 for stagg jr is overkill.  it's a $50 bottle, but a damn good $50.  I've posted before that ive paid over 100 to 150 on some hard to find Wellers but I don't think allocation is so much to blame but secondary is

I like Crown, I joke and call it Winnipeg lake piss but it's so good and I am glad to see a bottled in USA on the bottle
