Hey Scal - right now the Jets over/under for season wins is at 4.5. Other than the Browns and maybe the Jags @ home, I cannot see them winning any other game this season. But -160 is quite a bit to lay, (+145 on the over) so I was thinking of going big. Should I wait until closer to the season starting, or do I pull the trigger now because it might get worse.
Thank you.

If Carson Palmer can throw the deep ball this season ..the Arizona Cardinals can bounce back this year and be in contention..the Carson Palmer / Larry Fitzgerald duo are still one of the the best in the NFL.

The NFC west is always wide open. I love the Rams defense but we'll have to see what kind of strides the California Kid makes at QB. San Francisco.... That leaves Seattle, which is a bit of a unknown. As that defense ages, at times it looks like a shell of it's former self. And the offense as never been more than mediocre.

You figure Divisionals - Bills, Pats, Phins twice - that's 6 games right there that they're going to lose. @Raiders, @Bucs, @Denver, @New Orleans - I'd give the lean to all the home teams, so that's 10 games down.
Falcons come in end of October, that should be a bloodbath.....
That leaves: Jags @ home, @Browns, Panthers @ home, Chiefs @ home, Chargers @ home..... I would call those the "winnable" games - A total of 5 games. Over/Under is 4.5.... Just need one, baby!
I was going to wait for Scal's response as I defer to him for anything involving NY football, extreme choreographed male hugging (WWE), and hot dog eating, but Eff it!! Pulling the trigger on the under -160!!!!!

Wait a second............. The quarterback is an issue but a new offensive coordinator is certainly a plus. Throw in using the tight ends for a change and with the running backs and route running wide receivers, this offense will be OK at best. Defensively, the line will be improved, the linebackers have much more speed and the corners and safeties are much much improved. Throw in a new special teams coordinator will make a big difference.
6 WINS EASILY

You know your team sucks when being in the first year of implementing a new system is looked at as a positive, as far as win total. Obviously it's a reason for optimism for the mid to long term success of the team. New beginnings, in sports much like life, are cause for optimism. How do you feel about Hackenberg? I'm very familiar with him from his PSU days and always felt he would be a better pro QB than he was a college QB. Ans what about Petty? Is he still there?

It's good to be optimistic. Nothing against the Jets at all. I just don't see it happening
Histrionic personality disorder. It's sad

Not to rain on your parade, but currently (at least with my book) the Jets, Bears, Browns, & Niners all sit @ over/under 4.5 - the lowest odds on the board. I personally think out of those four, based on schedule, it's a dead heat for last place between your Jets & "Da Bears".....
Sorry LRM, Jets under 4.5
We'll get 'em next year.....

I think the Niners go under too. As a longtime Niner fan, these last few years have not been fun
Thought the same thing, but this dang division for some reason is usually split between the home & away games no matter how good one team is or how bad the other team is,, so split, split, split....
Week 1 - Panthers @ home - ehhh.....
@ Bears, then a home stretch of Titans & Jags?
Too many winnable games for my money, but hey, best of luck.....

Yeah, I never in my lifetime can remember Niner tickets being so easy to get. I'm going to watch them play my Cowboys and might buy some as early xmas gifts as well.
