I am neither a liberal nor a atheists but I also come to the reasonable and logical conclusion that views like this by ignorant, bigoted right-wing religious fanatics who promote this type of thing like Carson are just so silly.
What is interesting to me is that so much is based on fear, paranoia and negativity. I am not sure how people can live like that but it appears to be the foundation and back bone of their life blood and world view. But it appears that being so fueld by negative emotions eventually rots their brain to the point that reality and logic no longer matter if they do not agree with their fear and paranoia

After some thought perhaps this is not necessarily his view but it is the view and rhetoric that the GOP majority voting base of trump supporters are most willing to accept as truth once prescribed to them.
I think some key components to trump support rhetoric are:
1. Attacking a group of some sort
2. Spreading lies
3. Promoting negativity and fear
4. Then making it the government's job to do something about it
Trump supporters seem to eat this up regardless of how crazy the lie is or how no real concrete plan or feasible solution is given.
