Pompeo Warned Russia Against
Bounties on U.S. Troops

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is said to have sternly discussed
payouts and red lines in a telephone call with Sergey V. Lavrov,
Russia’s foreign minister.

WASHINGTON — Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has warned Russia’s
foreign minister against Moscow paying bounties to Taliban-linked
militants and other Afghan fighters for killing American service members,
U.S. officials said.

Mr. Pompeo’s warning is the first known rebuke from a senior American
official to Russia over the bounties program, and it runs counter to
President Trump’s insistence that the intelligence from
U.S. government agencies over the matter is a “hoax.”

The action indicates that Mr. Pompeo, who previously served as Trump’s C.I.A. director,
 believes the intelligence warranted a stern message.

9 coronavirus cases reported at Georgia high school
days after photo taken of crowded hallway

CNN:
Nine Covid-19 cases were reported at North Paulding High School.
Some context: This news comes days after a North Paulding High School
sophomore posted a photo on Twitter that showed her high school's
hallways crowded with students and very few masks visible.

The student, Hannah Watters, was later suspended
for posting the photos but on Friday, the high school
said in a statement that it had "rescinded" the suspension.

And shortly after, it was discovered that multiple students and staff had contracted the contagion, they shut down the school.

Many businesses in small college towns will be severely hurt by the cancellation of these games. Couple that with kids not on campuses across the country just adds to the stress of running a small business during this pandemic. Mostly part time stadium workers will also lose the few bucks they got paid to help pay the bills. The trickle down impact is immense.

The (trump-enabled) coronavirus has infected more than 5 million Americans
and killed over 166,000 nationwide, according to Johns Hopkins University.
On Wednesday alone, there were 55,910 reported new cases and
1,499 deaths -- the highest number of fatalities since May!

"For your country right now and for the war that we're in against Covid,
I'm asking you to do four simple things:
- wear a mask,
- social distance,
- wash your hands and
- be smart about crowds," said Dr. Robert Redfield, director of the CDC.
"I'm not asking some of America to do it," he told WebMD.
"We all gotta do it."

Without following the recommendations, this could be
"the worst fall, from a public health perspective, we've ever had"

In addition to taking measures to combat the pandemic,
people should also get a flu vaccine.

said Thursday that the U.S. was “underprepared” to deal with Covid-19.

Some have also pointed to allegations and reports that the
Trump administration ignored a pandemic “game plan” left
behind by the Obama administration and failed to follow a
separate NSC playbook.

Judge orders Trump campaign
to produce evidence of voter fraud
in Pennsylvania

(CNN) A federal judge in Pennsylvania told the Trump campaign
and the Republican Party that they must produce evidence they
have of vote-by-mail fraud in the state by Friday.
The judge's order, in a high-profile case about vote-by-mail in the
battleground state, essentially forces the Trump campaign to try to
back up President Donald Trump's false claims about massive
voter fraud in postal voting.
"The Court finds that instances of voter fraud are relevant to the
claims and defenses in this case," District Judge J. Nicholas Ranjan
wrote on Thursday, telling Republicans that they need to provide
evidence of fraud to the Democratic Party and the Sierra Club,
which are part of the lawsuit.

The Trump campaign and Republicans had refused to do so.
But with Thursday's court order, they must answer questions
from the Democratic groups and turn over records of communications -
- or say they have none.
The Trump campaign has until Friday to respond, the judge said.

(CNN)A new poll from Pew Research Center finds that 49% of registered voters
expect voting in the November elections to be difficult, a vast increase from
the midterm elections two years ago as President Donald Trump attacks mail-in
voting.
The poll was conducted while Trump was criticizing mail-in voting but before
he said on Thursday that he opposes funding for the US Postal Service because
he doesn't want to see it used for mail-in voting in November. Trump's attacks
on mail-in voting and USPS are being slammed as an attempt to manipulate
the system for political gain, as he could benefit from voter suppression among
communities who vote by mail.
