Wisconsin cops shoot
unarmed Black man
in the back multiple times
as his children watch!

Two Wisconsin police officers are on leave Monday as state authorities investigate
why a Black man was shot multiple times  in the back  as he entered 
the driver's side door of an SUV, officials said.

The man's three children -- 3, 5 and 8 -- were in the car, a family attorney said.

Identified by Wisconsin's governor as Jacob Blake, the man is in serious condition
and fighting for his life. Attorney Ben Crump, who now represents the Blake family,
posted a video of the Sunday evening shooting in Kenosha. The footage spread
across social media, sparking protests and leading county officials to institute a
curfew that remained in place until Monday morning.

The shooting came as demonstrators continue to decry police violence in American
cities, including the encounters that killed George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.

The night before Blake's shooting, protests erupted in Lafayette, Louisiana, after
police killed a Black man -- Trayford Pellerin, 31 -- outside a convenience store.

(CNN) A Georgia State Patrol trooper has been arrested and charged
with felony murder after fatally shooting a Black man during an attempted
traffic stop.
Jacob Gordon Thompson, 27, was arrested on Friday in connection with the
fatal officer involved shooting in Screven County that occurred on August 7,
the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) said in a news release.

Kenosha police shot Blake on Sunday, and video of the shooting 
appears to show an officer firing several shots at close range.

TikTok sues Trump administration
over looming US ban

Washington (CNN Business)TikTok sued the Trump administration Monday
in response to what it said is a "heavily politicized" executive order that
seeks to ban the short-form video app from the United States.

The suit marks a major escalation in the fight between President Trump
and the wildly popular TikTok, which has 100 million users in the US
but is owned by a Chinese company, ByteDance.

TikTok argued in California federal court that the administration did not
give the company a fair chance to defend itself from allegations that it
"poses a national security risk."

The first night of Republicans' 2020 convention FAILED
to draw as large of a television audience as Democrats'

Nielsen Ratings on Tuesday said that the first night of the RNC on Monday
drew an average television audience of about 15.8 million people
between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m, The New York Times reports.

This is compared to the average of 18.7 million people who watched the
first night of the Democratic convention, per Reuters....17% more!

Viewership for both conventions on opening night were down significantly
from 2016, but it is unknown how many were watching "live streaming"
Since many people have given up on high cable TV costs and switched
wholly to streaming services, the decline may not be as significant.

Monday afternoon in North Carolina he yet again claimed
record job market gains.
"There's never been three months where we've put more
people to work, over nine million people, and again, we're
just about ready to break the all-time stock market record," he said.

Trump said the economy is bouncing back quickly. This on the same day the
prestigious National Association for Business Economics forecasted a long slog
back to normal. Nearly half the members don't expect the economy to
fully recover until 2022. A majority say the job market won't be
back to its February level until 2022  at the earliest.

US intelligence officials say there's no evidence
to back up Trump's claims about threats to mail-in voting

Washington (CNN)US officials charged with protecting the 2020 election said Wednesday
they have "no information or intelligence" that foreign countries, including Russia, are
attempting to undermine any part of the mail-in voting process, contradicting President
Trump, who has repeatedly pushed false claims that foreign adversaries are targeting
mail ballots as part of a "rigged" presidential race.

Specifically, a senior intelligence official discounted the possibility of foreign actors mass
producing fake ballots to interfere in the November elections, again breaking with Trump
who has continued to insist that mail-in voting poses a significant threat to election security.

Bucks Boycott Game 5 vs. Magic

The Milwaukee Bucks have decided to boycott Game 5 of their first-round
series with the Orlando Magic, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The game was originally scheduled to tip off at 4 p.m. ET, yet the Bucks
remained in the locker room with the start approaching.
The Orlando Magic had been warming up but subsequently left the court as well.

The Bucks "have expressed outrage over [the] Jacob Blake police shooting
in recent days," according to Ben Golliver of the Washington Post.

on "The Lead." "To this day, the administration does not have a coronavirus strategy.

RNC Night 2 Ratings  Lose
   to DNC Ratings Again

The ratings game continues for the Republican National Convention,
as the second night of programming once again came in under the
Democratic National Convention's second night ratings.
The gap was, however, narrower than the opening night disparity
of 2.9 million viewers.
Early numbers from Nielsen indicate a ratings bump of 13% from
night one of the RNC across the three broadcast networks and three
major cable news channels, giving it a total of about 18 million viewers.
Night two of the DNC pulled in an estimated 19.2 million viewers,
leaving the RNC trailing by a margin of 1.2 million.

WHO recommends  testing
even more people for coronavirus

Coronavirus testing should be expanded to not only find people with
no symptoms, but also to cover those who have come into contact
with someone positive for the virus, Maria Van Kerkhove,
WHO’s technical lead for Covid-19, said Thursday.

The US federal government is fighting criticism for having revised
back guidelines for who should be tested. New Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention guidance says people who have been in
contact with a coronavirus case might not need to be tested if
they don’t have symptoms.

But the new guidance from WHO says just the opposite.

three big cable news networks brought in a combined 10.5 million viewers
during the 10-11 p.m. ET hour, according to Nielsen.

That represents yet another significant drop compared to the third night
of the Democratic National Convention, when VP nominee Kamala Harris
drew 16.2 million viewers for her speech.

A Florida man who called himself “the Antifa hunter” as he waged an online campaign
to terrorize and harass those who opposed his white supremacist ideology
was sentenced on Monday to more than three years in prison.

Daniel McMahon, 32, of Brandon, Florida, pleaded guilty in April to using social media
to threaten a Black activist to deter the man from running for office in Charlottesville, Virginia.

McMahon also admitted that he threatened to sexually assault the young autistic daughter
of a North Carolina woman who protested against white nationalists.
