Florida supreme court has rejected governor DeSantis redistricting of congressional map for elections. This is a victory for democracy and voters who oppose gerrymandering for political gain. After signing one of the most restrictive voting legislation in the US, DeSantis office of election security is a solution in search of a problem. No other state has such an investigation force because voting fraud is very rare.
While I would support that this is a victory for democracy, it is likely just temporary, as recently the US Supreme Court overturned a similar decision setting a precedent that allows republicans to diminish the impact of minority voters.
