Yeah,, as a matter of fact Gov.Rick Perry toured theTexas Border on the Rio Grande earlier this afternoon in a high speed patrol boat to review the areas where illegal immigrants are crossing ...while Obama was at a fund raiser in Austin Texas less than 300 miles away raising money for the DNC...

We don't have to build a fence along the whole Southern border ..just secure ones in the areas,, that are the easiest to cross..( including ones on Federal lands.).

This will allow more border control agents to cover the open areas better ,,plus some of these areas are deadly to cross..if we don't catch them ..they get to show what they are made of..

Slim, don't get me started with that idiotic Gov.(count me biased if you want because I voted for Hutchison). He asked for National Guards to deal with this current crisis which makes absolutely no sense at all.

i know i tried to estimate the cost of deporting illegals and securing the border based on some of the things i do know about our logistics the costs of incarceration and going through the immigration process.  it's impossible because we don't have anything close to the necessary infrastructure and never will but as purely an academic exercise, the highest number we've seen is probably way too low and then you'd multiply it by some multiple to account for all of the people who come back once, twice, three times until you get a fence or whatever set up which of course is another ongoing expense.

Here's the thing I don't get ...they are saying unaccompanied children are walking across our Southern border  and as a result border control agents are having to change dippers ...

So we not only have unaccompanied 6 and 7 year olds entering America but unaccompanied baby's and tots...

Where do we send these children back to?

What do we do axe a 7 year old or younger why are you here ? What's your home address..show me some ID ..

My position on this crisis is to hold all of them in Government facilities until they have been properly vetted....don't sprinkle them all over the country with a slips telling them to show up in court in 90 days ..Odds are that's not going to happen..

I feel there is an ulterior motive for the Obama administration not wanting anyone to see, visit or to talk to these Illegal invaders ..not reporters, clergy people..or even Congress members..no one except the Government are allowed to give them anything ..except the Government the Democrat Government..

First impressions are long lasting ..so who will these illegals in the further remember as the only ones that helped them ?

the border situation is a complete cluster f*ck.....and it will only get worse as time passes and the lawyers get involved .....expecting a solution from this administration and Congress is beyond imagination .........

we have plenty of immigration laws and rules and regulations.  ore than we need.  we don't have many people to enforce them though or any of the other logistical things a country would need to deal with a percentage of our immigration problem. 

you guys are going to have to come to terms with the fact that nothing will ever be done to make any tangible difference on this issue, just a lot of the usual political nonsense.  the only thing that has affected immigration in any appreciable way in the recent past was when the economy went to garbage and many of the jobs dried up.
