While the Justice Department has blocked a few mergers lately (it's about fxcking time!), they have approved the merger of the world's two largest brewers.

It is reasonable to assume that the consequences of this will take a familiar path: layoffs that screw labor, price hikes that screw consumers, and big bonuses to fat-cat executives that don't need them and probably don't deserve them.
Anything that exacerbates the concentration of wealth in the top 1-2% makes us more like a third-world country.
I only drink one beer a week, so this won't affect my financial situation. People that get laid off won't be happy and neither will people that have two beers a day.
