I'm no expert but I do have some questions about this.

Why does the pattern exist with smooth transitions even beyond what should be a page in a photocopied book? Was it a photocopied page out of a book or wasn't it?

I'm no expert on photocopies and layers but this video makes me wonder....skipp to 8 min mark.
