    Mine? A meager 16 hours.

Your session should abide by the following:

    1) It must be live. Online sessions allow too many comforts (i.e. music, TV, fridge close by, personal bathroom, too many hands an hour etc.)

    2) Only one dinner break under 45 minutes and a short breakfast/lunch break if applicable.

    3) Bathroom breaks are unlimited but not excessive obviously.

Also, what was your total profit/loss and what was the game?

After I was done, I didn't even double my original buy-in ($300) at a 1/2 NL game, could barely walk straight, and never wanted sleep more than at that moment. I also felt like more of a gambling degenerate than I've ever felt in my life.

If you don't have a significant live grind, then an online grind will suffice (although they should put live grinds to shame).

when i used to run my own club there were nights i played 20hrs...made out nice every time... ran a 1-2, 2-5, or 5-5 nl game.

felt like a crackhead for sure and it does take a toll on your brain.

now a days, once i reach a certain time limit or chip stack ill just get up. no point in playing when u start to lose focus

I played 44 hours one weekend.  I was playing 2-5 and ended up winning $1200.  The most I was up during that session was $2700.  It was a roller coaster game.  Lots of aggressive players.  There was one guy who I played with 3 times, as in 3 different sessions for him.  He was at the table when I got there on Friday night.  He came back Saturday night and then again on Sunday afternoon.  I also watched the same basketball game 3 times over the course of the weekend.

I don't think I've ever played more than eight hours consecutively, online or live.

I tend to lose focus after about three or four hours.

Ahh yes, the basketball replays on ESPN in the wee hours of the morning...

Nothing is worse as you sit there folding away the entire third quarter of the Wolves/Grizzlies replay as the sun slowly rises...

Ahh yes, the basketball replays on ESPN in the wee hours of the morning...

Nothing is worse as you sit there folding away the entire third quarter of the Wolves/Grizzlies replay as the sun slowly rises...

now a days, once i reach a certain time limit or chip stack ill just get up. no point in playing when u start to lose focus

Well if I ran a club and was collecting a rake outside the game, I wouldn't have much of a problem playing a dozen hours (not 20 though)...

Sounds like your in the majority in terms of ROR...

Small sample but it appears the average players focus wanes and yields diminishing returns after several hours...

I agree scal my stack was up to $850 after roughly five hours but if youre not a pro one's focus and sharpness decreases at an alarming rate the longer you play. Didnt help I was drinking White Russians(no cherry please) like water but hey when youre on vacation......

By far was online at pokerstars last June. My last $3 in account played a $2.75 buyin with just over 8000 participants. Started I believe around 3pm or 4 pm on a sunday afternoon. Finished 3rd at 330am monday morning. Just about 12 hours.

Was chip leader for the last 3 hours or so, had to start work at 8am on the monday and had AA as bigblind. Small blind went allin and i know the SB was complaining how he had to go to work in a couple hours. Obviously I called. He had 2 7 off...flop 2 7 J. UNBELIEVABLE, Was crippled and finished 3rd. Second was paying about $2600 and I think 1st was close to $4000.

During tourney I ran out of smokes around 1030pm..left 5 mins before break period to run to nearest store a few blocks away...forgot to make my wife dinner..didnt walk my dogs at all..damn was fun.
